Every time I go to Sherwood, I am blown away by the truly top notch care staff there. Compassionate, loving, and detail-oriented, they go above and beyond to make sure every resident feels seen, safe, and genuinely cared for. You can feel the difference the moment you walk in.. the atmosphere is warm, the team is engaged, and the level of attention to each individual is exceptional.

My wife spent about a year at this comfortable home and made some good friends. They were very attentive to her needs even taking care to speak kindly to her when she appeared to be unconscious.<br>The staff was always kind and hospitable to family members who came to visit.<br>When we were able to still go for a walk, the neighbors were always smiling and waving. The neighborhood is the wonderful and quiet.<br>I would recommend this home to anyone.

We moved our family member here from home to continue recovery from an illness. This started as a very positive experience for us until the RN owner sold the home/business to the current owners. In spite of promises of continued excellence, things went downhill quickly. Examples: not providing regular meals- I repeatedly picked up my family member for church or an appointment and found she hadn't eaten. She was diabetic. I was told she just needed to ask. ?!??! She often took showers alone, when she was supposed to have assistance. Another resident wirh dementia routinely wandered into our family member's room, often spitting at her or cursung her, picking up and walking out with her personal items. No one intervened, other than to tell my family member to close her door. (I was told they couldn't sequester the wandering resident. Okay, so how about monitoring her more closely?) So my family member felt she needed to stay in her room to protect her belingings. I asked for a reassessment of her care needs, since she was essentially caring for herself. The RN they used spent less than 5 minutes with my family member, did no functional testing with her, and just wrote down what the staff told her they 'did' for my family member. The owners refused to reduce the monthly rate and completely defended the 'assessment' . I am an RN- I know what an assessment entails and that RN did not do one. We decided to move my family member. The owners never asked to meet with us or do any kind of independent review. I cannot recommend this home.

Had to great place very quiet and not too many adult care people there. Staff is excellent and the owner is excellent.

Impossible to get a hold of, even for providers. All calls go to an answering service and they send you to voicemail.
