We have used Sheriff In-Home Care for the past 3 years and have been impressed with the wonderful support. Our 89 year old mother while living independently still requires necessary assistance due to short term memory issues and hearing loss. She is also a fall risk. Her caregivers are reliable, communicative and compassionate in the care of our mother. They are respectful of her wishes in trying to remain independent yet always there to make sure she stays safe. It is a delicate balance which they do well. Sheriff has also been helpful in arranging for nurse visits when necessary to review and assess my mother’s health required by her Long Term Care Insurance. We highly recommend Sheriff In-Home Care and plan to continue with them for as long as we are blessed to have our mother with us.

My father’s main priority was being able to stay in his own home as he aged. When he got to the point where he could no longer care for himself, we hired Sheriff. Three years later, my father passed away, in his own home, exactly where he wanted to be. This would not have been possible without the amazing ladies from Sheriff. They were on the ball 24-7. They let me know what food, cleaning medical supplies I needed to bring over or have delivered. If he just wasn’t “himself,” they would notify us, and on more than one occasion, probably saved his life by doing so. When we couldn’t get down to take my father to a doctor’s appointment, they arranged to get him there and back safely. When he was admitted to nursing care for a few weeks, they were by his side at all times. They would even take him to get his hair cut and for much needed manicures/pedicures. My father really bonded with these ladies. He could be pretty grumpy and stubborn at times, but they always were able to turn his mood around. In short time, he would be laughing along with them. Saying that you will be treated as family sounds cliché, but that is exactly what you get with Sheriff. The aides were so loving and caring, they formed a bond with all of us. When my father passed, I was comforting them as much as they were comforting me. You will never find a home care service that provides this level of personalized and compassionate care.
