Melanie, a physical therapist (PT) Supervisor was my mom's PT. She was very nasty, insulting and disrespectful. Very unprofessional. She was nasty in so many ways that I can't tell it all but I would like to give a couple of examples. My mom's doctor said that "IF I" feel that she needs more PT after they're done, he'll put an order in for more PT. NOTICE, he said that if I felt she needed more. I shared that with her, not expecting her to act the way that she did. She said that he can't tell me to give her more PT, he can't say that she needs more PT that's like me telling him that she needs more surgery. I'm not going to come here and give her more PT because I don't feel that she needs more PT. I told her that he may get another home care agency. She said that I'm going to send him a message telling him that "she doesn't need more PT" and she did send my mom's doctor a message telling him that she doesn't need more PT, sent it while she was at my house and looked at me and said now it's sent. I did not understand her attitude about that at all, if I wanted to pay for my mom to have more PT, why was that her concern. Then, she put in her notes that my mom has severe dementia. My mom answered all her questions correctly and did everything that they (their agency) asked her to do. After she seen no signs of dementia and I told her that she doesn't have dementia and I told her that her doctor hasn't diagnosed her with dementia; then she wanted to question what she knows and what she doesn't know (TOTALLY OUT OF LINE). When that didn't prove that she has dementia then she says that "she forgets things." She's 97, of course she forgets things and so do I. I should have been put her out of my house with her nasty attitude. I hope that we never have to see her again. If I could, I would give her zero stars instead of one star because she doesn't deserve a star.
