Enjoyed my visit,staff was very respectful and attentive,surroundings was very neat and tidy and the smell omg phenomenal. You know some nursing homes u go too and they have that sense of smell? We not this one 🥴🫶🏽🥇 I think I want a job here instead like fr!!..

I am sharing my experience to warn others about the care my mother received at Seagate Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. My mother was admitted for short-term rehabilitation, but within just two days, she was moved to the long-term care unit. What I witnessed there was completely unacceptable. The facility is extremely dirty—the resident rooms, day room, and even the rugs are filthy and carry a strong, unpleasant odor. It is clear that cleanliness is not being maintained. More concerning was the level of neglect in her care. When my mother became ill, the facility failed to send her to the hospital in a timely manner. I had to intervene myself to ensure she received proper medical attention. At one point, her blood pressure dropped to 96/50, and the oxygen tank that was supposed to support her was completely empty. I had to bring this to the staff’s attention. There were also no proper IV poles available—medications were being hung on hangers, which is completely unacceptable. Basic needs were also not met. The food provided was poor quality, bland, and often left my mother hungry. There were times she was crying out for food because she had not been adequately fed. To make matters worse, while my mother was hospitalized, nearly all of her personal belongings were stolen—clothes, socks, toiletries, and supplies I personally brought for her care. When I asked staff about the missing items, no one could provide answers, and there was a clear lack of concern or accountability. I was even told, “this isn’t my job,” which speaks volumes about the level of professionalism. Despite repeatedly raising these concerns with the social worker, nothing was done. My mother’s room remained dirty, and even though she was a known fall risk, requests for bed rails were ignored. I also want to point out that during the initial tour, only the short-term rehab floor was shown. That area is noticeably cleaner and appears well-maintained—but it does not reflect the conditions of the long-term care unit, which is where my mother was ultimately placed. I am very involved in my mother’s care, and based on my experience, I strongly urge families to think twice before placing their loved ones here. No one deserves to be treated this way.

My mother is there now and care and service is outstanding! From Administration to nursing care to the aides and therapist- everyone truly cares and looks out for my mother making her stay comfortable. My mother has specific dietary needs and the kitchen staff send her food she is able to eat. Everything is prepared as if they were taking care of their own family member. Gorgeous facility and rehab. We couldn't have asked for a better transition between hospital and home!

My sister Earlene is being well taken care of. She has Dementia and can no longer take care of herself. She is eating really good and gaining her weight back and they are starting her to walking again, although slowly but by the grace of God she’s still here and she’s moving.
