Scottish Rite House

Scottish Rite House is an affordable senior housing community in South Philadelphia, serving low-income seniors ages 62 and older and adults 18 years and older with disabilities. Located off bustling Broad Street, the community offers 125 one- and two-bedroom apartments designed for independent living.

The community features a medical screening room for visiting doctors and health care workers to support resident wellness. Scottish Rite House sits across the street from Scottish Rite Tower, a sister community, and benefits from proximity to public transportation including SEPTA's Lombard-South Station, as well as convenient access to the many shops, restaurants, and services along Broad and South streets.

Residents are permitted to keep common household pets in their apartments, and service or assistance animals are also welcome. The community maintains pet rules to help ensure a safe and sanitary living environment, with guidelines on registration, inoculation, waste disposal, and pet restraint in common areas. Assistance animals and their owners are not subject to these pet rules, though residents remain responsible for the care and proper waste disposal of their assistance animals.

Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the premises. All residents are required to sign a non-smoking agreement and must ensure that neither they nor their guests smoke in apartments or anywhere else on the property.
