The people here care about what they do and it shows. They took care of my dad and were accommodating to everything he needed. Highly recommend this place

After what I thought would’ve been a difficult transition, my father has acclimated to Savannah house very well. He is currently in the assisted-living side and he feels independent yet helped when needed he states. He enjoys the activities available for him and how it feels like an apartment living rather then a hospital living situation Regardless I want to thank the staff for helping my father with his transition into a new chapter of his life and for the wonderful staff for being so kind and understanding.

Don't even stop here go straight to silver creek savanna house is all lies from gina to smells like urine they don't have enough staff let my husband fall and got 4 stapples dr at er said he was servely dehydrated.

The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. There are many many activities and I love them all. I have made some good friends and we have a great time together. Fun field trips, laugh together. I have been here two years and absolutely love it.

There were some good experiences, a couple of med techs, and front desk. However, our loved one has Alzheimer's, when he started to get agitated and aggressive he was not checked for a UTI but sent to the hospital for a medication evaluation. At the hospital it was discovered he had a UTI that subsequently had delayed care because the facility did not check. After admission the Savanna House director promptly told the hospital he was not able to return. This happened after a conversation with the director stating he could return after his medication got evaluated. This is a sneaky work around for facilities to do when they do not like their resident. This essentially left a vulnerable adult homeless. Savanna House did not communicate with us about him not returning at any time. We happened to be out of town and were informed by the hospital social worker regarding not having a facility to return to upon discharge.<br><br>Watch your care plans. They like to add unnecessary items to increase the price. Check to make sure your loved one is actually being bathed. We had to have a home health aide come in to bathe our loved one and do his laundry. Although we paid for this, it was routinely not done. Many excuses were made, and our suggestions were not followed. Also, no creative solutions were given by the facility to complete the care they were paid to give. We paid over $6000 monthly for very little care. When going line by line the care plan was found to be over inflated to increase the pricing. If labs are ordered, especially urine specimens, stay on top of them to make sure they were collected. They routinely did not fulfill the lab collection orders. Also, I would not trust anything said, get it in writing. However, he WAS fed and the activity coordinators were great.<br><br>The only good thing is that he is now is a community care home that is amazing. The staff care for their residents. Overall, I would highly recommend going somewhere else. Look at community care homes.
