I've been here for three months. This is is not the worst facility I've been to but there are severe issues here which can be infuriating to deal with. **Update: Originally I gave 2 stars but some very rude man just brought it down to one. I am a female and I don't appreciate or feel safe having random men barge into my room without permission but that's exactly what just happened. He came into my room without knocking, mumbling something about working on my TV. I tried to ask him what he was doing but he was wearing headphones and acted like he couldn't hear me until I shouted. I said "Can I please talk to you for a minute?" He very quickly said, "I don't work for this company and I was told to come in here." While I was responding he left and slammed my own door in my face. So don't expect your privacy to be respected. Also less than a week ago another man came in my room while I was sleeping to do loud power drilling in my bathroom to switch out the fixtures, for over half an hour. I was so tired that even though I was woken up right away it took me that long to be able to talk to him and find out what he was doing in my room. I told him to stop, and that I don't even use the bathroom since I'm unable get out of bed. I certainly don't want power drilling in my room while I'm sleeping for something cosmetic that I can't even use.** The nursing care here SO slow. Almost every time I ask for my pain medication it takes 45 minutes to an hour or more for the nurses to bring it to me. I ask for it over and over but I usually have to call the front desk and have them page the nurse before they will bring it, and then they come within a few minutes so I know they could come sooner if they cared at all that I'm in a LOT of pain. I have asked repeatedly for them not to wake me up. I am very sick and I feel terrible when I don't get enough sleep. However there are many days I'm woken up at 6am just so they can take my blood pressure, (which could absolutely be done later when I've woken up) or people will come in my room at any hour trying to wake me up because my breakfast is there, or for absolutely no reason at all. The food has at times been atrociously bad, but sometimes is pretty good. So overall it's subpar. It started to get better but then got worse again. I tried to take up some of these issues with the lead nurse and her assistant but they were outrageously rude to me, not acknowledging my needs and just making excuses instead of assuring me they would help me. I was of course angry about this so they refused to talk to me and left my room without resolving a single thing; I had to call management. They promised to help me and things were better for a few days but today again I was woken up at 6am and I've now been waiting 1 hour and a quarter for my pain medication. The rooms are dated but fairly well maintained although right now the AC system isn't working well. They are fixing it and providing fans, etc. They did help me get an air mattress when I complained the regular mattress was too hard and was hurting at night and the guys in maintenance are pretty good about helping me quickly. It can take a while to see a doctor. I asked for almost two weeks to see pain management. The oversight doctor for pain came. He made me feel attacked, asked irrelevant questions and others he should have known by reading my chart and lied to me about multiple things. He refused to up my current medication (which is standard procedure) and would only prescribe a medication I've already tried which didn't work. I then saw the NP for pain management who did up my working med and he resolved the issue but it took over a week again to get to see him. Some of the CNAs are very nice and some are rude but that's how it is everywhere and to be honest they're better here than anywhere except for PAM. I hope management can help me fully resolve these issues so I can revise my review.
