Sancta Maria is excellent. I was there for four weeks with a painful cracked tailbone. My room was lovely. The staff was both professional and caring. The dietician was very flexible in accommodating my restricted diet. ( I do not eat meat and I have celiac disease, which means no gluten and no lactose.) All in all I could not recommend it more highly.

My sister has lived at Sancta Maria in Cambridge for a few years now and my family and I are so grateful for the quality care our sister is receiving. I live in Arizona and the rest of my family lives in Louisiana. Though it is difficult living so far from our sister with her health needs, the quality care and the ongoing contact and feedback we receive from Sancta Maria about how our sister is doing brings some peace of mind for us. We know that our sister is doing well due to the quality care she is receiving from the dedicated and skilled staff of this facility. My three sisters and I were very recently in Boston to be with our sister and the entire staff responsible for our sister’s care, came by her room to visit with us. This act showed kindness, concern for our sister and assured us that our sister is well taken care of. I heard the word “love” often. They love my sister! This means everything to me and my family. We feel blessed that we found Sancta Maria, a quality Nursing Facility that is providing great care for our sister.

MOST OF THE STAFF IS NOT PATIENT WITH PATIENTS, THEY DON'T ALWAYS ANSWER CALL BUTTONS, THE PLACE IS NOT FULLY CLEAN,IF A PATIENTS PHONE OR CALL BUTTON GETS UN PLUGED, THEY DON'T TEND TO NOTICE, THE BUILDING HAS MICE ON EACH LEVEL OF THE BUILDING. * REHAB VERY SHORT TERM IS O.K. *IF INSURANCE RUNS OUT, THEY DON'T CARE IF U R DIRT POOR. IF U DON'T CARE TO HELP OTHERS IN NEED AT ALL TIMES, DON'T GO INTO THIS LINE OF WORK. CARE & COMPASSION IS MOST IMPORTANT.

I was a Rehab resident at the Sancta Maria facility in Cambridge, MA from March 27th to April 3rd, 2026. I just had hip replacement surgery. The Administration office was terrific in providing an early tour of Sancta Maria, responding to all my questions and facilitating finding me a private room. The staff responded quickly when I called for help from my room, The physical therapy staff had good instructions and were helpful in assisting me and in answering all my questions. A big THANK YOU to all the staff.

My 95-year-old mother has been at Sancta Maria in Cambridge for a year now. She first came to Rehab after breaking her hip and received excellent care there. The team of PT and OT staff are outstanding - kind, encouraging, engaging and true experts in their work. We then moved mom to the resident nursing facility (in the same building), where she has been for 7 months now. Her care has been very good - the day and evening teams have been very kind and patient with her, and engage with her lively personality, which is very important (to anyone!). The food is plentiful and decent, and the highlight is the Activities Team, who work hard every day to bring some fun and entertainment to the daily routine. There are always Bingo and other games, and lots of varied musical entertainment (from cultural dancers to guitar singalongs and solo performers). During the warm weather, there are lunches (home-cooked by the activities director herself!) on the patio, and this summer's excursion to Castle Island was a huge hit for everyone who went. The attention to residents is compassionate, and family/friends are always welcome (I visit mom regularly and love knowing the staff and other residents). A sincerely warm and caring environment is hard to find in this business, and at Sancta Maria, it's visible every day.
