This is the easiest 5 star review I’ve ever given. When my mother went to Safe Haven, we did not think she had much time left. With the loving care of Sandra her staff my mother thrived and lived out 3 very happy years. She had dementia and Alzheimer’s and had stopped any meaningful communication with us before she went to Safe Haven. Within a month we saw a huge difference in her health and spirit. Visits became fun again. She felt at home and referred to Safe Haven as such. The set up Safe Haven was a perfect fit for someone in my mother’s condition. The care she got was amazing, but watching my mom feel like she was living and hanging out with friends was the best part. You don’t always think of laughter when you visit a retirement home, but the way the staff joked with my mom and put a smile on her face was priceless. There is always a little guilt when you can’t do as much for your parents as you would like. I lived outside the country, so it was more so for me. Safe Haven took that weight by making videos call easy and just knowing there was no better place for my mom.
