My parents lived at Cherrywood for a couple of years before moving over to Royal Anne in order to utilize the Assisted Living program. The staff at Royal Anne was very good to my parents and we didn't have any issues. They worked well with Hospice when my father was dying. Unfortunately, though, my parents utilized the 'in-room' safe for storage of my mother's special rings that my father had given her over the years. When my father died and we cleaned out the little safe, ALL my mother's rings were gone. I reported it to Ole Lindbo, the Executive Director, who requested that I NOT mention it to anyone, so that he could do an investigation. I never heard back from him. I asked him about his 'investigation' a couple of years later while my mother was living at the Memory Care portion of Cherrywood/Royal Anne, and he didn't seem to recall the incident. I did file a police report, but again, to no avail. It was very sad to lose the rings as they were treasured family jewels and it would have been so nice to have them for memory's sake. If you put your parents into this facility, do NOT leave anything of value in the safe, as the staff has keys to it.
