The rudest staff I have ever had the displeasure of interacting with. And I have worked in my fair share of nursing homes. If they are that unpleasant to me I fear what the residents have to put up with. If you love your parents, I would avoid this place at all costs.

Great assisted living community. The staff are caring and friendly, and Monica has been especially helpful. The apartments are clean, spacious, and comfortable, creating a very welcoming environment. The food options are also very appealing. I would definitely recommend.

I would recommend this placement. Unlike most assisted livings, the apartments are roomy with lots of storage. It has a full size kitchen as well and lots of room to move and be comfortable. The food is excellent and the activities including coffee and chat are great ways for new people to meet. We have 2 clients there and they both like The Rose better than their former placements. The admission process was great, lots of paperwork but Monica is GREAT to work with . She was always willing to answer questions or help with the process. She is always available to staff and visitors. The nurse helps set residents up for medications and appointments. The facility is well decorated, clean, smells fresh and has a lot to offer. It has a library, theatre room and lobby that all are welcoming to residents.

My sister has lived at The Rose for greater than 15 years. The staff has changed over the years, but the level of care has always met her and my expectations. The nursing staff goes above and beyond providing great care. I never have to be concerned about her well being. They are much more than a nurse to her, they are her friends. It’s such a relief for me as her sister. The other services she receives including housekeeping, meals, aides who check on her daily are all exceptional. Worth mentioning is the activities they provide, which are crafts, birthday celebrations (decorated her door as a surprise on her last birthday), holiday celebrations, etc. And last but not least, the administrative staff is easy to work with and makes sure I’m aware of any paper work that needs to be completed. Very efficient. Also, the others tenants are always nice and very low key. There’s very little drama and the doors remain locked at all times for their safety. I highly recommend the Rose of DSM for anyone whether it be themselves or a loved one, to consider this facility.
