The staff is very rude . Get more training knock before entering the room Explain what you’re doing before proceeding to do anything. Ask for permission. My mom fell in this facility while on the Hoyer lift.I reached out to administrator and he was very nonchalant. 👎🏿

Unfortunately this facility does not deserve even one star. My mother was placed her after an extensive stay in the hospital. I am very thankful that my family and I were able to be there everyday for my mom as this place is a house of horrors. The ladies who attended to my mom only brought forth attitude, laziness, despise for their patients, and were incredibly demeaning. The physical therapy team were absolutely terrible. They treated my mother like trash. There was a visible lack of training and care for their patient during PT. My mother was not afraid to walk until we arrived at Rockdale. She had a fear of the PT staff as did our family. If you were to speak up on their lack of care or efforts you received a perfect example of unprofessionalism. During our stay, we were visited by teams who were examining the facility and determining if the facility was up to par, which it was not. Fortunately, I was able to explain all of my families concerns and worries. My family stayed day and night to ensure my mother was safe. We did not trust her in their care. I would not send my dead dog to this facility. It is very unfortunate that there are patients who are not able to speak up for themselves. The employees are bullies and entitled. I would not be proud to be employed here. I would not send my loved one here again. The only kind person we came across was a janitor and she checked in on the wellbeing of those she attended to. Your loved ones are not cared for here. They are left to sit and rot and be yelled at by staff day in and day out. It is such a shame. If you are looking to send your loved ones here, think twice. I regret sending my mother here as it was one of the worst experiences we have endured together. I do not know how this facility is still in operation.

If you’re thinking about putting anyone you care for, even just a little, in this facility, then don’t. Because you don’t put someone you care for in this facility. The select of nurses we saw were pushy, and quite frankly rude. Patients roaming, unattended, whilst the doctors are acting as though that’s normal and appropriate. Clothes missing, soiled diapers, people left unattended for more than enough time for a CNA to come in and take care of it. Also, clothes left on the floor. They only want money, they pushed and pushed that she should be discharged later. Even after they rudely told us off, claiming that we had to wait another day which in no way was legal, they had another storm for us when we got there. A lady with AIRPODS and long nails that are suitable for no nurse came and said let’s do this the proper way. Claiming that we should wait longer because she needed more of her prescription, just anything to stammer us from leaving this train wreck of a “facility.” Then it was the blood pressure and the sly comments made by nurses we finally got out. Bottom line is this, this is a horrible place to put any of your patients in, especially ones that are mentally incompetent and can’t stand up for themselves. Please go somewhere elsewhere for those you hold close to you. And staff, fix your attitude and do your job. Wash your patients because that’s what they deserve, imagine being deprived from the ability to be clean. Don’t go into a field of care if you can’t care.

My wife was admitted for 20 days because she could not walk following a lengthy illness at at hospital. Within 2 weeks she was up and around. OK, so the place looks a little worn when u first come in and it seems a bit dimly lit. Just stay for a few days with your loved one and you will see a lot of caring people doing the best they can. With a few exceptions, the staff was caring and helpful. What more can you ask? The food was pretty good for lunch and dinner. Breakfast was a bit monotonous but if you find the right person they can get you different foods besides eggs and grits. Physical Rehab. was no joke as long as you wanted to participate in your own recovery. They did not mess around but challenged my wife for 2 hours+ every day. The outside courtyard was good, and since it was spring there were flowers and birds at the feeders. Really nice. I have to say that staying here for short term rehab. was a blessing. Get involved with your loved ones care!

Let me start by saying this, Rockdale Healthcare is much better than most. Even though it still has a lot of cons. My grandmother has been in this facility for 7 months, and in the beginning everyone was so attentive and helpful with any and everything. Well by month2 that all went out the window, phone calls stopped and the attention my grandmother received became very subpar. My grandmothers health took another hit due to them not checking her catheter to make sure it was draining, she ended up with a uti and because she became sepsis. But that not even the icing on the cupcake… the CNA (Crystal) responsible for my grandmother was asked to check on her vitals while we were there, and she did. Just not before saying well she isn’t eating so she’s going to be weak. My grandmother’s blood pressure was low but came back up before we left. The only reason my grandmother was even taken to the ER the following day is because we called to check on her and nothing had changed and blood pressure was back low. If you are in the health care field and can even do the simple things as far as checking on equipment and whatever to ensure it’s working properly then why are you here? Then not to mention how nasty and messy my grandmothers side of the room stays… open cookie bags, chips, straw paper, anything they open to use on her or for her is left on the nightstand opened packs of A&D ointment, toothpaste, toothbrush, you name it. I clean it up every visit. I wish I had took pictures before I started.
