Very clean facility. No bad odor. Staff was genuinely friendly and helpful. They really showed that they cared from my Father’s well-being. that was until two days later when they moved him to the dementia floor and nobody knows why or who did it and without even asking the family. Now they won’t move him back. He’s there for rehab and they moved him to the long-term floor. How dare they who do they think they are? Without even informing the family

The service and attention was great from check in process as 1st time visitor I could be more satisfied with the treatment and care for my loved one! Nursing staff, PT and CNA’s as well as the nurse supervisor on station 1 were phenomenal. Thankful for each of you.

Great facility. Staff are pleasant and caring to myself and patients. Jon and Olay in station 2 are second to none. They treat my mother like family. Nurses and aides are phenomenal....care is second to none. However the facility did not reach out to me on mother's passing Feb 2....not a call or a card...it took 2 weeks of leaving 3 voice messages with the Director Michelle Peeper to speak to someone. Michelle gave me excuses on Feb 24 when she finally reached out to me about why her staff-specifically Social Workers NEVER reached out to me. They had my phone number, as they called me when they had concerns regarding mother. Not one person took 2 minutes to call me! I was told by Michelle what is "normally done" however; Social Workers are short staffed. Unacceptable and a slap in the face to be told what "usually happens" when someone who is a patient passes away in their facility, not at all due to the skilled care given by Doctors, Nurses, Aides, Physical and Occupational Therapists, etc.

Top notch healthcare!. My Aunt just started living there and she has all the services there can be! Shawn RN and Amanda Social Worker proactive and through with my Aunts care for Dementia, rehab and skilled nursing. I am impressed with care meetings with healthcare provided already my aunt has already seen Dr. Najor three times. Staff are very transparent and good care. One stop shopping with healthcare services brought to her. Staff are knowledgeable about skilled nursing and Rehabilitation but treat my Aunt who has severe Dementia with grace and patience. Peace of mind is what I finally have with OT, PT, RN, Dr, Dietician, CNA, Audiologist and psych and more services. My Aunt is busy and not staying in her room. Wonderful socialization. The front staff is professional and security is incredible with many levels of security to protect residents. I give this wonderful Healthcare Facility 100 percent on every aspect of care for all aspects of residents needs.

My mom Marsha stayed at Rivergate Health Care Center for most of November 2025 for rehabilitation on the 2nd floor after her hospital stay for seizures, and I was VERY impressed by the 5-star Rivergate staff. They are very compassionate, attentive, professional, knowledgeable and helpful. My mom has Stage 5+ Vascular Dementia + Alzheimer's and lung cancer, among numerous other serious health issues. As her guardian and solo-caregiver for many years I know that she can be quite the handful, but I was at ease knowing that she was in good hands at Rivergate Health. Everyone from the front desk receptionists, social workers, nurses, nurse aides, to laundry staff are absolutely incredible. She was released the evening before Thanksgiving and the staff was very supportive in getting me up to date on all her new meds/schedules, post-rehab caregiving needs, and even worked with me after release to get her Medicaid-approved, and on the MI Choice Waiver Program waiting list for In-Home Care support now that her new health issues require 24hr care while I work, instead of just the part time In-Home Care that Medicare had been previously providing for her. I highly recommend Rivergate, and will definitely take my mom back if the need arises in the future. Thank you to everyone there that helped me navigate the scary/emotional process alone, and a special thank you to everyone that took great care of Mama Marsha on the 2nd floor!! HUGS!! Sincerely, Violeta
