My mother has been here for about 3 1/2 years. Every place goes through changes, but the one thing that’s never changed is the nursing staff the caring, loving Aids they all do the best that they can but what I’ve saw is that they love the rest When you see a 23 year-old person taken care of a resident that has went to heaven and they cry and they sat there and they get them prepared. That’s what love is about no matter the mistakes are the little nitpicking things that happened. The main thing is is they love their residence like they was one of their Own I’m very grateful. I thank God every day that I have this wonderful staff to help from the cleaning ladies to the cooks to the nurses to the aids to the workers in the office. They are my village and I thank God for them every day. Thank you, reverse being for what you do and what I know you do for your residence.

My mother lived at Riversbend for approximately 7 months, first on the Assisted living side and then moved to Skilled. The nursing staff always kept me abreast on what was happening and any changes that were made. Her aides were great to her and treated her with respect. I would recommend RB to anyone that might need to place their loved one.

This place is the literal worst. My mother stayed here for only a few months and nearly every day was on the floor, agitated, anxious. I was constantly fed stories about things she was supposedly doing without ever any real indication they were true. Such as going in other people's rooms going through their stuff, when I never even saw her with the ability to move around by herself. Staff there lost one of her hearing aids and tried to claim that my mother must have done it, when she was physically incapable of standing on her own with where they were located. Thankfully through constant calling I was able to prompt them into searching and finding them. That took several calls. I was called almost daily about her being on the floor. They eventually just resigned to putting down a mat and left her laying there. Eventually I was sent pictures from a family friend of my mother on the floor on a mat with a dirty blanket with feces where her head was. My mother has since been in another facility and NONE of these problems exist there. She is stable, not anxious, not on the floor every day. MUCH better cared for. I have made attempts since she left to get property that was left when she was transferred. Electronic items, a heart monitor, clothing, etc. NO attempt was ever made to notify of these items. NO attempt has ever been made to even locate these. NO attempt has been made to even call me after I have called and even showed up in person. DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HERE. Nobody should ever have to see their family in the state I saw my mother. I reiterate, NONE of the issues experienced while at Rivers bend are present at her current location. It's unfortunate that I cannot give less than 1 star. If ever a place deserved a zero star rating, it is Rivers Bend
