Posted 4/15/24 In June of 2023, we contracted with Right at Home when my parents moved from an assisted living facility to an independent living community. My parents (especially my dad) hated the assisted living facility. The independent community was considerable less expensive and much nicer in many respects. We have a worker come in three days a week two hours each visit. She ensures that my mom gets out of bed, gets bathed, and laundry done (services provided by assisted living but not independent living). Since this doesn’t use up the full two hours, her worker also cleans the apartment - not part of the contracted duties. Having someone bath you and be in your personal space can be uncomfortable, but my my mom likes the worker and is very comfortable with her. We also feel that communication with the worker and the supervisors is very good. We’ve been promptly notified when the worker had concerns of any unusual behaviors or circumstances. The supevisors make routine check ups and contact us regularly to make sure that we are informed and to inquire about any concerns that we may have. It isn’t an easy decision to elect to hire this type of service and choose among the various providers. We’ve been very pleased with our decision to use Right at Home.

We've had very positive experiences with Right at Home. We were introduced to Keith when he stopped by to visit with one of our residents. Our resident was very independent, but just needed some extra help. She raved about her caregiver and how much she loved her. That prompted us to give their contact information to another resident needing some assistance. That resident, as well, gave high remarks for his caregiver. They have exceeded our expectations, as well as the residents who have hired them. They are caring, patient, professional, prompt in following up with phone calls and display a well organized support system that truly cares for their clients. We are happy to recommend their services, and just as happy to know our residents can stay in their apartments and be treated with kindness and respect.

I found the staff at Right at Home to be professional, responsive, and communicative. At a time when I was experiencing great stress because of a sudden change in my mother's need for care, they were empathetic and patient. They truly took charge of staffing her daily care, allowing me the time to focus on meeting her other needs. Hanna, Katie and Dave all did a great job.

The service is adequate & comparatively affordable. However they stress no communication between families/responsible parties and the actual care giver. *electronic portal or email only and then not direct.* There are some good hearted people who work here with good ideas to help caring for the elderly. They are micromanaged to the tune of virtual ineffectiveness. I love my second care giver. But I had to go out of my way to actual meet her. It is very clear their priority is their business. Not on caring relationships or the clients. The sheer volume of elderly patients make this business model possible but it adds to an already stressful situation rather than helps it. I would speculate there is managerial stress and that trickles down the entire chain.
