My father was readmitted to Regency. Care Silver Spring SNF . My father health has improved while at this Nursing Home . Staff are very caring , friendly , supportive and polite.. Environment remains clean at all time and smells fresh . Food : My father continues to enjoys his breakfast, lunch and Dinner . My father enjoys the diverse population of staff members that provides care to him daily. My family and I are very thankful to staff members Hannah , BB and Shondell for all the services and care they have provided to my father during his stay at SNF. We were educated the name of the Facility as of July 1,2026 will be Vierra Silver Spring Health and Rehab. We Love this Skilled Nursing Facility and we will always bring our father back to this SNF. This place should be shut down. My sister was sent here for rehab. On first look the place seems nice. Don't be fooled! My sister was put in a bed and 3 days later she had not been evaluated, had not been given her meds and had not been turned in her bed as prescribed. Her family was not allowed to take her out of the bed. When questioned the family was told they were not familiar with this patient. We were also informed that they had not gotten her prescriptions filled yet. In the meantime there was a person down the hall screaming at the top of her lungs for a nurse. About 1 hour and 15 minutes later the nurse finally went to check on this patient. This is unacceptable. Is this the way to treat sick and needy people? I think it should not be allowed. We questioned the weekend supervisor (Helen) who reported to us that she would not discuss this with us. (Again unacceptable). My question is: are there any decent caring people working in these places? Is this to be the acceptable practice for our loved ones? After all of this the weekend supervisor bought the social worker in who started talking about contacting hospice in place of the insurance my sister has. Again completely unacceptable. My sister is having trouble standing and walking. Does that mean she should be put someplace to die? Something should be done about pthos place and others like it.

I selected this facility for my sister based on the Center on Medicare and Medicaid Services 5-star rating. It was a complete disappointment. Upon discharge from the hospital, my sister required a wound vac for her rehabilitation. The facility assured her doctor they were capable of providing the vac. Her hospital discharge was delayed one day to allow the facility to get the necessary equipment. After the third day of my sister's arrival at Regency, I inquired why there was no wound vac being used for her treatment. The "Unit Manager" stated they couldn't locate the wound vac. In addition, she stated their wound nurse would determine if the vac was necessary regardless of the hospital discharge instructions. The nonchalant attitude of the manager was typical of the responses I received each time I asked questions about my sister's treatment. Not once did I receive any updates or meetings with her care team during the 3-week period she was there, even though I visited the facility every other day while she was there. By then, I knew to look for a different facility. The transfer process from Regency was terrible. On Dec. 3rd, my sister was to be transferred to a new facility, Montcare Wheaton, which the Social Worker facilitated and selected working with the Regency doctor to allow continuity of care. All of the paperwork was completed stating Montcare Wheaton , and medical transport was arranged (which was at cost to my sister). However, upon arrival at Montcare the Admissions Director stated they had no knowledge of my sister being transferred there and had no beds available! Calls to the Regency Social Worker were immediately made by me, the Montcare Admissions Director and the Medical Transport company. The Regency Social Worker could not provide any answers as to why the transfer papers had the wrong facility or the correct facility my sister was being transferred to. Meanwhile, my sister is laying on a stretcher in the medical transport van. The Montcare Admissions Director called different facilities in the area and was able to locate the correct facility where my sister was to be transferred. It has now been more than 3 months and no one from Regency has reached out to acknowledge or apologize for their egregious error. The level of care at this facility is severely lacking and the administrative staff is atrocious.

Our father was admitted to Regency Care of Silver Spring for physical therapy/rehab. In very short time, we have seen a significant improvement in his physical health as well as his cognitive behavior and engagement with others. The nursing, care team, therapist, and administrative staff are extremely professional. proactively engaged, caring , friendly, supportive and polite. They are the most diligent team of professionals we have experienced in rehab/long-term care facilities. Environment is clean at all time and smells fresh . The focus on interacting with others and not just sitting in a bed all day is a great approach. Our dad loves the place.
