My father just spent almost 2 weeks in the facility and I’m disappointed with a few things. He’d ring for a nurse because he wanted to save his dignity and use the toilet and several times he didn’t make it because nobody answered the call button. When he was able to get to the bathroom on his own towards the end of his stay he’d ring from the toilet for help and on a couple of occasions sat there for over 20 min waiting for someone to come help him get cleaned up. The toilet seat dug into his hips sitting there so he was in pain from that and his legs started to fall asleep. Imagine him trying to get stronger to go home and he could hardly stand once he had help to get off toilet. Insurance unfortunately decided he had met the requirements to go home and they discharged him on Monday (Memorial Day) and needless to say they went over his meds with me but no therapy exercises to do at home, gave him one day supply of new meds and I had no idea who prescribed them and played hell today figuring all this out. I feel his was discharged with no supports set up to be successful at home.

Our family couldn’t be more grateful for the exceptional care and compassion this elder care facility provides. My grams was in here and the staff could not have been any friendlier! They constantly had activities for the residents, it was a nice clean place with spacious rooms. I would absolutely recommend this to anybody looking for a place to take care of their loved ones. My only complaint was sometimes it took a little while for the light to be answered, but I understand that is just the way it goes sometimes when the caregiver ratio isn’t 1:1. Thank you regency for a great experience after a few bad ones!

Not a good experience. It took forever to get help. They would say they would be back then be gone for an hour. Some of the nurses were great but not all. The therapy people would say they were coming at a certain time and not show up for a couple of hours later and then blame him because he was to tired after sitting up waiting for them to come.
