Shannon and Matt are the best in the business. They have been caring for our father and he is very happy there. The staff is excellent and and the care is first class

Let me start out by just saying, “Wish I would have found Rainbow’s End sooner.” My father came here after spending time at two other nursing/memory care facilities and while one was so so the other was horrible. I was so glad to get him out of the other place and here. The care was night and day different from the other locations – in an extremely positive way! The level of care was significantly better as the staff to patient ratio is much better at Rainbow’s End, and just the level of compassion and care was much higher. A couple of examples. My father hated showers as he would always be cold afterwards. This happened at both of the prior locations and presented itself here as well, when he first arrived. The difference however was the extra mile Rainbow’s End went to ensure he didn’t get cold. This was done by ensuring the bathroom was well heated, nice warm water was used and towels that came from a hot dryer were used to dry him off. While they still might not have been his favorite activity, he didn’t dread them like before. Another example is my father loved ice cream. So, when we would crave it, they would go down to the local drive in and bring him some soft serve ice cream – he loved it. They would also do ‘movie nights’ and watch movies with him and make popcorn (another of his favorites). There were a couple of times that the owner (Shannon) noticed things in my dad before they became major issues, so they could be resolved via a visit to the Emergency Room. While some stay in the hospital was needed, if it had gone unnoticed the potential could have been catastrophic. If she noticed other things such as the shower chair hurting the back of his legs, she made sure to alert me and offered things she was going to try to help (e.g., putting towels between his legs and the chair). My father also didn’t like to be moved, turned, etc., and could be a bit agitated with this activity. Shannon worked with my father to get him to do some breathing exercises and ensured things were explained to him before they occurred, to help him calm down before these events. There were other instances of this type of proactive support – it wasn’t just a one off. The staff were always caring, compassionate, pleasant and helpful and would address any questions or concerns. As an extra bonus there wasn’t the turnover in staff as I’d seen in the prior location. The rooms and house in general are fantastic, with great meals and a good variety of meals, including providing alternatives if there was something he didn’t like. He said they made the best sandwiches! I would place a loved one here in a heartbeat knowing they are going to receive the best possible care.

We have experienced my parents in assisted living, then my mom at a nursing facility/rehab and then another Adult Foster home. Thank God we were led to Rainbows End and Shannon, Matt, Debbie, Danae and everyone else. It’s been a rough journey getting my mom to a place where she is loved and really well cared for. What a relief to find such a special place for my mom. The home is in a beautiful location, it’s thoughtfully planned, clean, but the most important thing is the comfort and care to my mom that is given. Grateful.

Rainbows End has been providing care for our family member for the past two years. The staff are always welcoming and more importantly, they give excellent care. My father in law always has a big smile and is genuinely happy when his caregivers walk in the room -- for me this says it all. He feels loved and cared for and that is the most important feeling for someone with dementia.

My mother had a fall in her home last November. This event sent me on a journey to find her a place where I could be sure she was being cared for beyond what I could provide by myself. She is 94 years old and has congestive heart failure. Mom went to Rainbows End after her hospital stay and a stay at a rehabilitation facility. Rainbows End helped me and my mother to make this huge change in care more manageable. They helped me so much with the communication and documentation needed for her long term care insurance. I could not have managed it without their help. They have shown their dedication to being a top notch care facility by employing caring staff who listen to my mother and care about her comfort, When I visit my mom I see an immaculate place where the caregivers know my mom and all her special needs. I can never thank them enough, not just for my mother's care, but for their sensitivity and help when things were tough.
