Not the best and that includes most of upper management. Often times, rude and dismissive when trying to get your loved one the best care. Social work needs to clean house; the people in this department act as though you are burdening them when asking a question...lost all my Mom's clothes and was told because they weren't labeled they just go into a black hole. There were absolutely no instructions or welcome package given to me as to the do's and don'ts of my Mom's stay. I'm very disappointed, I can imagine what they charge. I so wanted to like this place, not so easy.

I’ve never left a review for anything before but I felt this was necessary. My grandmother was here for 2 weeks over the winter (2023/2024). Very bad experience. She asked for a shower every day and only got one shower the whole two weeks she was there, and that was on the day she arrived. On Mondays they told her they only do showers on Tuesday, on Tuesdays they told her showers were on Mondays and she would have to wait for next week. So she didn’t get a shower for 2 weeks basically. The entire point of her being there was for rehab to gain strength after a hospital stay, but it took a week to even get the initial “consultation” about what she could be doing. In that time she did nothing. We thought she would be having rehab / exercise multiple times a day, but she only used the bike once per day (most days, not every day) for about 15 minutes, that’s it. They mishandled her medication multiple times, trying to convince her that she had already taken one of them when she had not. Come to find out they had “lost” it and never investigated. We were instructed to leave that medication in her bedside table instead. When we spoke to one of the head nurses during her consultation, she talked to us as if my grandmother couldn’t understand anything she was saying, like she was a child. She’s completely competent, it’s her body that is failing her. Everyone seemed very busy all the time. They had her on a bed pan instead of assisting her to the bathroom when needed because she was deemed a “fall risk”. She was capable of doing it on her own but did fall at home so the fall risk was fair, but to leave her on a bed pan instead of assisting her to use the toilet was hard for us to see. We assume they did this because there wasn’t enough staff but they didn’t say that to us. One last thing, most of her nurses could not speak English. This made it impossible for my grandmother to communicate with them at all. This time around, we went with Northwood nursing home in Norwell and it already has been a much, much better experience. The nurses are friendly, people aren’t rushing around, she’s gotten exercise twice per day every day already, she gets showers regularly, got her nails and hair done, and they assist her to the bathroom. Do not go to Queen Anne’s, check out Northwood or literally anywhere else.

I've worked in many different skilled nursing facilities, so when my father needed rehab, I was very picky about where he went. I had always heard great things about Queen Anne's, but had never physically been there before. The day my father was supposed to be discharged from the hospital, the process was very rushed and I was left to make a decision about where to place him in the matter of hours. I spoke with Deb over the phone and she was able to set me up with a tour ASAP. I appreciated this and ultimately decided I felt comfortable placing him there. My father stayed for rehab a little over a month and we made the decision to keep him there long-term. This was not an easy decision for my family because my father is only 69. Fran (social services director) was SO kind and helpful, providing resources for us and helping us feel like we were making the right decision. My father has been a resident of Queen Anne's for the past 2ish months and we could not be happier with our decision. The RN/LPN staff is kind and like to banter with my father (he was always a jokester). The CNA staff is exceptional--my dad has two main CNA's who I can't speak more highly of. I have been at ear's length when they didn't realize I was there and have heard the way they talk to my dad when they think no one is around--it is always kind and compassionate. One CNA in particular (I believe her name is Rita), goes above and beyond. My dad told me yesterday that he had picked out a pair of pants to wear, but this CNA suggested he wear another pair to help match his other clothes (shirt, socks, etc.). It might seem insignificant, but it's little things like this that show that the staff truly cares--it probably would've been easy to put him in whatever he picked out, but the fact that she went the extra mile to make sure he looked put-together and presentable meant a lot to me. Piggybacking off of that, the residents are always dressed nice and clean. The facility itself is also clean (I was there one day when the housekeeping crew did a deep clean of my dad's room for 1+ hours). The food is excellent (my mom & I have tried many of his meals) and the activities are well thought out and engaging for the residents. Dyana from activities is truly a ray of sunshine. Anthony also did a great job with bingo over the weekend. They provide coffee carts, ice cream carts, music, bingo, and daily word searches. I don't know the rehab staff too well, but my mom is very pleased with them. I truly feel like my dad's quality of life has improved since being at Queen Anne's. Thank you all so much!

We were very impressed by the spacious private room our loved one was placed in during a short term rehab, with nice view out to a green yard. His food offerings were responsive to his requests, the nursing aides were strong and capable, and the medical team made sure to manage his pain well. I also appreciated the easy, digital sign in process and the fact that we could bring in a pet dog to visit. Only improvement would be to encourage staff to be more quiet and gentle in opening patients’ doors so as not to startle or wake them unnecessarily. I’d recommend Queen Anne for rehab stays.

I wish I could give Queen Anne more than 5 stars. Mom was there for 3 years and the staff was wonderful both with her care and keeping me informed. Mom had broken her hip and had severe dementia. She could not communicate. After being there for over a year, mom surprisingly turned to me, called me by name, and told me she wanted me to know that she felt safe there and they took good care of her ....Immediately after she went back to her gibberish. She loved the pretty decor, the fish pond, and many of the staff. Staff was always friendly and and scheduled events for the residents to enjoy. So grateful to the wonderful staff and directors for their wonderful conscientious care.
