I transferred my Grandfather to this facility after a bad experience at another one in Norman. To say I am pleased with the staff here is an understatement. He has the sweetest nurses who truly care about his health and happiness. They are so good to him, go out of their way to make sure he is happy and being taken care of, and always keep me informed of how he is doing or of any changes and concerns. The peace of mind that I have, knowing he is being taken care of by good people who truly care about him means more to me than I can express. I'm so impressed with their cleanliness as well. I come to see him 3-4 times a week and it's always clean and smells nice. I HIGHLY recommend Purcell Care Center for your loved one, if ever you have the need for a long term facility.

Don't not send your loved one to this nursing home. Every common sense thing that they should do to take care of their residents, they do not do. People are asleep in the hallways, call lights are not answered until an hour later. Meds given too close together, families are not notified when changes are made to your loved ones If you don't have POA, your questions are not answered, even if you are family. A family member is sent to the physc ward and won't tell me why because I don't have power of attorney.

My dad is here. last time we went to visit 1 of the nurses kept trying to make a guy "take a nap" at like 11:30 in the morning. He is a grown man not a baby he said no he's not tired but she kept insisting. Then another nurse was cussing a man out. And there was a guy with a wound on his foot it had a dirty bandage on it and the bandage was hanging halfway off and he was dragging it on the floor. And my dad had lost so much weight I bet he barely weighed 100 pounds this place is pathetic. Needs to be shut down!

My husband is there now (December 2015) and seems to be "enjoying" his stay. I think he may be there a long time, but it is comfortable, clean, and the staff is friendly. He is lucky to have a wonderful roommate which I think keeps him from being depressed. There are many common areas and always someone around to chat with. Some of the staff have gone out of their way to make James stay a little easier and I appreciate that very much.
