•    24-hr access to licensed nurses

Unlike a skilled nursing facility or active adult retirement community, we have designed a fuller range of senior services here in Lancaster. This way, we can support residents in their current life stage and can continue to care for them if and when their needs should change through aging-in-place.

By offering independent living, assisted living, and memory care, we can accommodate couples in the same apartment, no matter their individual health needs. We value the peace of mind this provides to couples at Providence Place — it’s their home, after all. We work to meet the different needs of all residents.

About Our Apartments

Lancaster residents choose from three different styles of apartments: one-bedroom suites, alcove studios, and standard studios. Regardless of the floor plan you choose in our retirement community, you can receive the appropriate level of care you need. We believe your retirement home should reflect your preferences and accommodate your needs.

For residents with dementia, we offer two-levels of care. Early-stage support is offered through our Connections Club. Moderate-to-late stage specialized memory support services are offered in our Connections Neighborhood, a secure, homelike setting that promotes safety and independence.

Is this the right fit for me?

When you’re considering your retirement options, it’s important to think about future needs. Providence Place is a high-quality option that is affordable with no large up-front fees like a CCRC or 55+ community. Our model is an all-inclusive monthly rent with the option to add more services as your needs change.

Our aging-in-place model means you’ll receive the assistance you need without having to move out of your apartment. While we don’t provide skilled nursing care, we do assist with a wide range of daily needs, including bathing, dressing, feeding, medication management, and housekeeping. We are licensed to provide assisted living and memory care.

At Providence Place Senior Living, there’s no “one size fits all” thinking. We recognize that seniors may have differing levels of need throughout their time with us. To help meet those levels of care, we have created a “layering of services” approach. This approach enables us to provide the best value for all of our residents and allows us to add services (and associated costs) only when you need them.

•    Independent Living allows seniors to enjoy our community and social activities without the chores of laundry, housekeeping, meal preparation and household maintenance and landscaping. All Independent Living residents receive weekly housekeeping, 3 meals per day, transportation to appointments and all social activities on campus.

•    Personal Care and Assisted Living at Providence Place helps residents with activities you do every day, like bathing, dressing and remembering to take your medications. It is the extra assistance you need to keep you independent and living a good life.

•    Transition or Respite Care is a sophisticated package of services designed to accommodate seniors who have a specific short-term recuperative need. They can enjoy our community offerings as they transition back into their normal living environment.

•    Memory Care is state-of-the-art, individually tailored programs for residents to exercise their minds and enhance memory. We offer two-levels of care with our Connections Club (early-stage memory loss) and Connections Neighborhood (late-stage memory loss). We take these programs to heart and offer trained dementia care experts and caregivers to enhance brain fitness and encourage cognitive support.

•    Short-Term Stays at Providence Place are perfect for seniors who need help after a hospital stay or when family members are out of town. Seniors are also welcome to try us on for size! Short-term stays can vary in length based on individuals’ needs. Providence Place short-term guests enjoy housekeeping, respite and personal care or assisted living, dining services, community activities, transportation and all the amenities enjoyed by all our Providence Place residents. Short-term stays are based on availability at each campus location.  Please contact us to check if this is an option for your family.

•    Rehabilitation Services, such as physical, occupational and speech therapy, can significantly improve residents’ quality of life. Providence Place is pleased to offer on-site rehabilitation services at each of our communities provided by Genesis Rehab Services.

My Dad has been at Providence Place for 4 months now. So far, it has been a positive experience. Facilities- he is in a studio but has more than enough space for one person. He opted to use the twin bed, locking nightstand, dresser, lamps and chair provided by Providence Place. You can also choose to bring your own furnishings. He has supplemented his space with a few bookshelves and tables. Each room has individually controlled heating and air. The only drawback is the bathroom is a bit of a tight turn if you are using a wheelchair. He is a small person so he has learned to navigate it using his wheelchair with an 18” wide seat. A larger wheelchair or a person with limited upper body strength may have difficulty without assistance. TV service has been fine. Internet is fantastic. Food- He says the food is good (he has been particularly happy with the oatmeal and the soups). The menu seems varied and there are alternate everyday menu options if you dislike what is offered. The residents can choose what they want for the following day and they get to choose a small, regular or large portion size. The dining staff is very nice and quickly catch on to the residents preferences. His only complaint is that sometimes you may arrive right at the start of a meal but have to wait 15-20 minutes to have your meal served to you. 3 meals per day are offered as well as access to snacks. Residents also have a mini fridge and microwave in their room for personal food items. Staff- this is where this facility shines. Everyone is very kind and seems to truly have my Dad’s best interest at heart. I feel like the nursing and aide staff keep me in the loop and have a good handle on my Dad’s needs and wants. The front desk and transportation staff are fabulous. Dad enjoys chatting with the drivers as he heads to doctors appointments. I can always count on Adrienne to find me an answer (or the correct person) when I have questions. The maintenance team has been very responsive. They even figured out how to make my dads wireless (but not Bluetooth) headphones work with the cable box. The few, very minor, not urgent requests I put in were taken care of within 24 hours. Activities- They have a good calendar of activities for the residents to participate in. My Dad mostly takes part in religious programming and the live music. There are also social hours, bingo, card games, movies, etc. Selfishly, I do wish they posted more pictures of the events for the family members to see.

Providence is places not a good place for you to put your family because I don't witness several incidents when they're covering up things with the residents there. I have also witness a woman that had passed away in another room and they management of that place decides. They're gonna move her body back to her room original room so that her family can come visit. They suck and don't take your family there.

Providence Place holds a position of high regard in the Lancaster Community. As a Senior Care Profesional, I have observed a high quality of caring care at this facility. This Lancaster location Does Not offer skilled care. When a resident needs advanced care, as in any quality facility, a personal aid must be hired, or, the resident must be moved to a location qualified to meet those needs. While Providence Place, true to their reputation, offers fantastic care, families must be actively involved to fill in for the personal preferences of the resident. No facility can offer that service, and still provide the care offered to all residents. With regular, strong doses of Family and Friends love, such as chat times, special interests, hobbies, walks, the familiar voice, etc., the resident can experience the wonderful quality of life families desire for their loved one. These essentials can be provided only by the family.
