Providence Place is best facility there is. Our residents are like our family and treated like family. Staff is well trained for dementia and know how to handle tough situations. Everyone is so nice and caring. The food is great. We are like family here. The perfect place to bring your loved ones ❤️

My mother had a short stay at this facility when assisted living options were no longer the correct care level for her. The facility was nice and it appeared that the care level was good. That is until one day when I got a call that she had fallen. No one knew what time she fell or how long she had lain on the floor before they called. I drove from Omaha to find her still lying on the floor with very little covering her and no one in the room with her. I took it upon myself to take Mom to the emergency room. There was ZERO concern by the staff. My mother had Alzheimer's and was still in the early stages. Can you imagine how you would feel if this was your mother? Can you imagine how she must have felt hour after hour on the floor and cold? I know this facility may have improved it's processes. I don't care. My mother shouldn't have been a guinea pig for acceptable levels of care. So my message is this: go see your loved ones often; don't always go at the same times; be there for meals so you can observe how that works; establish a relationship with the care-givers. Talk to the staff often about activities. Keep your eyes open. Ask questions about how often residents are checked on and various protocols for emergencies. Stay vigilant.
