Having lived in Cobb County for 50 years, I was surprised to discover Presbyterian Village even existed. Tucked off the East-West Connector into its own little ecosystem, it stayed off my radar until my wife and I began looking for care options for her mother. I initially joined the tour to support my wife, but I quickly learned that doing this kind of firsthand research benefits the caregiver just as much as the person being cared for. The staff were wonderful throughout, and our marketing tour guide — whose name escapes me — was excellent. The facility sits on 60 acres and offers a wide range of amenities and activities. As someone who loves the outdoors, I was especially drawn to the pickleball courts and the walking paths throughout the property. We left feeling that our time was genuinely well spent. The tour was informative, covering many of the nuances of elderly care we hadn't considered, and the personal touches — including a lovely treat at the end — made the visit memorable. That combination of knowledge and warmth is exactly why Presbyterian Village earns my five-star rating.

I contacted this nursing home concerning rehab for my mother. I spoke with Margaret Goodwin, the admissions coordinator, who was very rude and nasty with a full -blown attitude and reluctant to provide me with a tour of the facility. After pushing to have a tour, I met her in person and she continued to be nasty. I knew at that point, that my mother would be declined based on our interaction. These folks discriminate and are very disrespectful and unkind! If they treat people this way before even admitting them, I can only image how they treat people once they are in house. I would not recommend this facility. 12/1/25 - Hello leadership team of Presbyterian Village. I contacted you via the email address below on 11/24/25 as you suggested. I still have not received a response.

This is LONG overdue…. When my mother, Dorothy Johnson, was first admitted to Presbyterian Village for short-term rehab, I didn’t fully understand the procedures or how rehabilitation facilities operate. This was our first time experiencing anything like this, so there were some misunderstandings in the beginning. However, as I researched and learned more, one thing that never wavered was their professionalism at Presbyterian Village. Even when I didn’t understand the process, the staff remained patient, respectful, and consistent. Because of my work schedule, I visited at different times of the day, and each visit was the same: the building was clean and welcoming, and the patients always appeared comfortable, well-cared for, and genuinely happy. I especially want to recognize Ms. Margaret Goodwin, who was extremely helpful from the start. She walked me through the admissions process, answered my questions, and provided a full tour with patience and care. Ms. Eleanor and Mr. Mark were also outstanding—always available when time permitted or was quick to return my calls and address any concerns. Although my mother’s stay was short, the quality of care she received was excellent. Our family felt confident that she was treated with compassion, dignity, and professionalism. Based on our experience, I would absolutely recommend Presbyterian Village to anyone seeking a clean, supportive, and well-managed facility for their loved ones.

My family and I had a very different experience, and I want to take a moment to give outstanding recognition to Mrs. Goodwin. She was extremely helpful, thorough, and professional throughout the entire process when we were considering this facility for our family member. She stood out in her patience, clarity, and commitment to making sure we understood everything. I would also like to recognize the other employees we interacted with during this time. They were all professional, courteous, and supportive, and they contributed to making our overall experience a positive one. Their teamwork and kindness truly reflected the values that Presbyterian Village stands for. Although our plans ultimately took us in a different direction, I genuinely appreciate the effort, respect, and professionalism shown by Mrs. Goodwin and the rest of the staff. Based on our experience, I do recommend Presbyterian Village.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I can't say enough wonderful things about Presbyterian Village Austell! From the moment you step onto the beautifully maintained campus, you can feel the welcoming atmosphere. The gardens are stunning, and the common areas are both inviting and thoughtfully designed. But what truly makes this place special are the amazing residents. They create a vibrant community filled with warmth, laughter, and camaraderie. It's easy to strike up a conversation and make lasting friendships here. There are so many engaging activities and events that foster connection and joy.
