During a recovery after knee surgery, I found working with Riz from Preferred Care very helpful in knowing that my needs for at home care would be met. She was always available to discuss my concerns.. I would use her agency again if needed.

It can be hard to find a caregiver that your loved one really likes,AND works well with the schedule needed sometimes. Preferred care atHome was really understanding with this,and did a lot of work( with no judgment) to help us find the perfect people for my grandpa!

I’ve been using Preferred Care at Home Thousand Oaks since October 2024 for my father who lives in assisted living in Oxnard. After almost a year of ongoing services, this caregiver agency has been a lifeline for Dad and our immediate family. We have a set schedule for certain days of the week with a regular caregiver. If our regular caregiver is ever unavailable, Riz always has fill in caregivers available to maintain the scheduled shifts. She has been great at matching up the right caregiver to provide for Dad’s needs. The caregivers provide a variety of services for Dad such as transportation to appointments, personal hygiene, housekeeping, companionship, fulfilling requests from the family, and collaborating with the assisted living staff. Furthermore, Riz was able to pull a caregiver last minute when Dad had an emergency. That definitely sits high on my list of praises and brought me peace of mind because I don’t live in Ventura County. I know Dad is in good hands when I am not there and Preferred Care at Home is on the clock. I had to part ways with a different caregiver agency in the past before finding Riz and her team. I’m glad I made the switch because Preferred Care at Home has proven to be reliable, consistent, and professional. Our experience dealing with Riz and the caregivers of Preferred Care at Home has been very positive in maintaining quality of life for Dad. Thanks again for making a great difference in my dad’s life.

I will definitely use Preferred Care at Home again! They took great care of my mom after her hospitalization for a brain bleed. All of the caregivers were amazing! Very flexible, compassionate and understanding. Thank you PCAH for making a very stressful situation so much better!
