Several scripts for services have been sent on my child's behalf to Preferred Homecare. Fax confirmation / received receipts have been received back every time (dating back over a period of 18 + months), to both the general intake Fax and to the department supervisor Fax, but Preferred Homecare will not process the script. Sometimes they acknowledge that they have received old, unprocessed scripts, sometimes they claim to have nothing, sometimes they just blatantly hang up on me when I request an update. Customer service is nonexistent.

Horrible and untrustworthy. They do not check on their employees who cares for your loved one so there is no accountability. They should do surprise visits, check on your family member personally to see how they are doing and to see if they like their person. My dad ended up going in to a nursing home but before he did the caretaker never did his dishes so mold was growing in the sink and never did his laundry which was soiled and covered his bedroom floor! The hospice team was shocked when they arrived there and caretaker just texting on her phone. I had asked for these things to be done but nope. Too many other things to write…but steer clear. Complete neglect! And Dan or Jordana were clueless and only cared when they realized they might be in trouble. Update to owners response: Obviously you want me to talk about the fact that your caregiver was using my dads credit card and asked for it in front of his hospice team. I was giving you grace by not bringing that up on my last post but ok she also had asked me for rent money which I screen shot and sent you the proof. I also didn't mention in my original post how she brought her small children to work and left them in her running car while she was with my dad....also witnessed by my dads hospice nurse. Yes my dad said everything was good so he would not get her in trouble because my dads a nice guy. Apparently that's all the proof you need things are good. And you did 2 home visits but never seen the mold in the sink. Mold takes a long time to grow over every dish so it must have magically started right after your last "home visit". And my dad has stage 4 cancer so writing this review was NOT my priority but I knew I would write it to warn others once I had a minute. And if you cared at all about how my dad was doing or about the credit card issues after we terminated with you then you could have called us to check in but nope! Apparently you only call or care when someone writes a bad review. Shame on you.

My sister and I had an unfortunate experience with Preferred Care At Home Phoenix/East Valley. We hired this company to provide care for our elderly mother who is suffering from dementia. We terminated services after approximately 30 days as a result of several instances of poor and quite frankly deceptive communication from the staff and owners. While advocating for my mother by expressing concerns about the inconsistency of care and staffing, the male owner stated that I was being “nasty and aggressive”. Not only did this owner insult me, he did so while yelling in an attempt to justify the missteps taken with his company for which I was making a complaint. If you are seeking a compassionate, reliable and customer service orientated in home care agency, steer clear of this one. Trying to navigate the care of a loved one who can no longer manage on their own is without a doubt an incredibly challenging position. Interacting and corresponding with those hired to assist with that care should not contribute to an already difficult and stressful situation.

We were very pleased with the excellent care and customer service from Preferred Care at Home. They took the time to understand our needs as we cared for my father-in-law during his final months. Furthermore, they adapted as those needs changed. We were given the freedom to ensure that the caregivers were a good fit for our family. I would highly recommend their services!

I used Preferred Care at Home East Valley for my aging mom in Mesa AZ from April 2019 – January 2020 (10 months). My mom is 90 years old, has limited vision, and needed extra support each day. Our caregivers provided one-on-one care for 9 hours a day. The caregivers would make coffee, breakfast, lunch, dinner, take my mom walking in the neighborhood, and take her up to her community gym to participate in some exercise. The caregivers would also perform lite house-work to ensure the cleanliness and safety of everyone in the home. I can’t say enough good things about Preferred Care at Home East Valley and the owner Michelle Krzeminski. Michelle has a fantastic office staff, and reliable, caring, and skillful employees that supported my mom. Over the 10 months of employment, I only had 2 minor administrative issues, and those were quickly and professionally resolved within 24 hours. If a particular caregiver wasn’t a good fit for my mom, Preferred Care at Home East Valley was quick to adjust and provide another caregiver. On the occasion where a caregiver called in sick, Preferred Care at Home East Valley called me to let me know, and provided a secondary caregiver as quickly as possible. This extra care and attention allowed my mom to stay in her own home longer than any of us expected, and my mom was happy throughout the process knowing that everyone was supporting her in her own environment. By comparison, I had used another in-home caregiver company from September 2018 through March 2019 (6 months), and it was a horrible, time-consuming experience. The care was sub-par, the administrative staff was unresponsive to several on-going billing and staffing issues. I spent an enormous amount of time managing this company, and would never recommend them to anyone. But, if you are looking for heart-felt, caring, professional, responsive, fantastic care for a family member, my recommendation is Preferred Care at Home East Valley.
