Prairie Winds of Urbana

Prairie Winds of Urbana is an assisted living community in Urbana, Illinois, designed to serve adults 65 and older who need help maintaining their independence. The community opened in 2007 and is located just east of Colorado and Philo, near Stone Creek Golf Course.

The community offers a range of floor plans with home-like qualities, including mini-blinds and ample closet space. Residents live in their own private apartments conveniently designed for senior living. Certified staff are on duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week to provide personal assistance and help with medications. Support services included with residency are three daily meals, housekeeping, and laundry.

Prairie Winds emphasizes lifestyle and wellness while residents maintain their dignity and independence. The community offers an active environment with social and recreational activities where residents can enjoy the companionship of friends and neighbors. A full array of amenities and helpful services are provided to make residents' days fulfilled and comfortable.

Prairie Winds of Urbana received the American Health Care Association/National Center for Assisted Living 2021 Bronze Quality Awards, recognizing providers that have developed a foundation and begun a continuous journey of quality improvement. The community was also awarded A Great Place to Work status.

Financial assistance programs are available for those who qualify, including the Supportive Living Program available in Illinois for seniors 65 or older on Medicaid who receive minimum Social Security income, making the community accessible regardless of financial resources.
