My mother in law had been in long term care until she passed on July 3. at 98. I cannot express adequately how much I appreciate the care she received at PCRC for the last 3 years. It is difficult to make the decision to place a parent in a care facility but also becomes necessary when you can't provide appropriate care at home. The staff took wonderful care of her. Thank you all very much.

As a business owner myself, I like to give credit where credit is due. My journey here has been long, but the team of caregivers have helped me make the best of my time. The girls in admissions were tremendous and thorough. Denisa, Leanne, Kristina and Luigi, in therapy, were game changers for my recovery and Juana, Renee and Kim tended to my nursing needs always with a kind heart. Looking forward to returning as an outpatient when ortho fully releases me. Great care. Clean environment.

This is an amazing place. My husband has serious lung issues and was told by specialist doctors he would not be able to return home. The staff here was able to help him progress and he is headed home soon. Everyone here is truly caring. We want to give special recognition to his nurses Deb and Renae, as well as Magi and his OT Maddy. There are many others; too many to list here. The facility is clean and the food is good. Excellent all around!

From the very start of our stay in the hospital to our admission and discharge from the rehab Jessica the Admission Director caringly walked with us side by side through every step confidently assisting with our every need and explaining each step we would be facing. Upon arrival we were very impressed with the kindness of staff, cleanliness of each area we passed and the well appointed decor that made you feel more at home than in a care facility. We were greeted immediately in our room by Nicole also from Admissions, our nurse Deb and nurses aid Josh who all made us feel incredibly welcomed and attended to straight away. Our therapy started from day one with staff who really cared about our goals and prioritized reaching those goals at a safe yet steady pace. They even took the time to pair us with the therapist Luigi who had had a similar accident and was truly able to understand and empathize with the situation. His attitude and encouragement is a big reason that my partner has come as far as he has in such a short time. He’s #1 in our book !!! We had only 2 issues during our stay the food choices; the kitchen did their best to accommodate as much as they could but we did find ourselves bringing in food from home daily. And secondly not knowing what department each staff member was from. We had been used to the scrubs color system that recognized each department. Otherwise we will definitely go back when he is ready for outpatient therapy.

Port Charlotte rehabilitation center Is a fantastic facility! The staff is friendly and professional(including the front desk). As many times as I had multiple questions, not one person was ever rude or unfriendly. Every one of the staff members were always willing to help me or point me in the right direction. My mother was in their care for a little over three weeks and I am truly impressed. Each and every person that interacted with my mother was very kind and attentive to her needs. Every physical therapist and occupational therapist did an excellent job of ensuring she was ready to go home. Barbara Klein, the Case Manager Was very helpful And on the ball to make certain that my mom had everything that was needed to be discharged successfully, as well as any aftercare needed this truly gave me Peace of mind. The staff/nurses that cared for my mom, Juana, René, Deborah, Jenn, Sierra, Samara, and Sharon (activities) are top notch. Shout out to Gerard in the Bistro For serving up nutritious food with a smile😃. Overall, each and every individual that I came in contact with was very helpful to me, my mother as well as to other residents and family members . As we know when it comes to our family members/loved ones, we want the best of care and we want people that work in these facilities to be good, kind and caring people and that is definitely what I experienced here at Port Charlotte rehab rehabilitation center. Highly recommend !!!
