What an absolute disappointment. Pope use to be top notch. I grew up in the neighborhood. I volunteered there when I was a kid. You can imagine how happy I was that they had a bed for my mother when she was being discharged from the hospital. My happiness was quickly turned to anger and disappointment. My mother wasn’t there for 3 hours when I came down the hall to hear an aide yelling at her! And when I complained they said they’ve had this issue with this aide before! What????? Why is she still there and able to abuse our most volnerable population? The place is dirty. They don’t even wipe the communal shower down after someone uses it! They put newpaper in the door to keep it from locking. A few of the staff are nice. Michele is a wonderful aide. Aside from 2 or 3 caregivers the rest of the place is a dispicable excuse for anyone to have to live. Pathetic. Do not send your loved one to Pope.
