The staff at Pointe Coupee were excellent with our mom during her final days. She had only been there a little while before her time came. They were kind, and gentle with her through all phases of the transition. After she passed they were so respectful with her, getting her ready for Nilands. And it was so sweet of everyone that was there that early morning after she passed to link hands and pray for her and us! I highly recommend the facility, and will be forever grateful to them for the wonderful way they took care of her. Thank you Pointe Coupee Healthcare....Mary Pizzolato

Pointe Coupee Healthcare has been a blessing for our family. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel welcome and at ease. The facility is always clean and the atmosphere truly feels like home. The nurses and caregivers are compassionate, attentive, and go above and beyond to make sure residents are cared for both physically and emotionally. I also appreciate the way the staff keeps our family informed and involved.

From the moment I decided to bring my mom to Pointe Coupee Health Care to be a long term resident, everything felt like I had made the right decision. Everyone from the admitting staff to the nurses to the aides was, and still is, so welcoming and kind to my mom. I always feel like she is treated with respect, patience and compassion. The facility is always clean and smells nice when I drop in for weekly or bi-weekly visits with my mom. There are plenty of activities for the seniors to keep their minds and bodies active. I really appreciate the fact that the staff reaches out to my mom when I am not there to keep her plugged into life so she doesn’t feel alone. I have never doubted my decision to bring my mom to Pointe Coupee. I know my mom is in good hands.

If I could give negative 5 stars I would. I could go into all of the heartache and frustration my family has experienced with this place, but my anxiety level would soar. During the time my mother was there, the place went through 3 head administrators, all of them absolutely awful! This place is run so poorly, it's a complete joke! And the level of cleanliness and care is a joke as well! DO NOT BRING YOUR LOVED ONE HERE!!!!!!!

If I could give this nursing home negative stars, I would. Every time I've visited my mother (I don't live in the state), she has been neglected. The CNAs leave their personal items in her room and use it as a break room. Her call button is rarely near her. She is left slumped in a chair or turned against the wall. The administrator is useless. He gets paid and that's the extent of his involvement.
