My father was discharged from his rehab facility Saturday Aug 15 and prior to his discharge I spoke with his case worker at the rehab and established that this facility would be rendering care to my father. For some context my father is 60 Years old, he has been bed ridden for the past 3 years While in hospital he was placed in ICU for a few weeks and during such time his heart stopped. He was diagnosed in hospital as a type 2 diabetic and needs insulin 3 times a day amongst quite a handful of other meds and required PT, OT, HHA, VN, And a PCA I spoke with a kind gentleman by the name of Felipe that told me that other than the PCA service, they would provide everything else. This facility received his discharge paperwork 3 days late and they had the wrong discharge date (may have been the fault of the rehab who knows) as of me writing this now September 4 and there’s only been two visits one being a visiting nurse doing a consult and she came up with the same stuff we already knew he needed and during said visit she didn’t render any care nor provide him with insulin or a glucose monitor and the second visit which again I believe to have been a consult from Physical Therapy. After speaking with multiple resources and talking with Felipe he came to the conclusion that they shouldn’t have even taken his case in the first place. These people haven’t hardly put in any effort and aren’t even providing the services they are able to provide. Me and my father both agree that they probably forgot about him and still to this very day he has no insulin no glucose monitor and no resource available to him so he can even survive. He is unable to use the restroom by himself and they don’t care to even show up to help him with that They are lucky I haven’t filed legal action against them although it’s tempting and likely wouldn’t be a hard case to win. This is my PSA to you all. If you or a relative needs help, unless you are mostly capable and can wait weeks on end for help, seek help elsewhere these people don’t make any effort to help improve my dads quality of life and it’s simply unacceptable to me.

Yes. Pivot Point Homecare Services is a Medicare-certified home health agency, so Medicare Part A or Part B pays in full for skilled nursing, therapy and home health aide visits when a doctor orders them and the patient is homebound. There is no copay for covered home health visits. Medicare rates the agency's quality of patient care 4.5 out of 5 stars.
For Medicare to pay, yes: a doctor, nurse practitioner or physician assistant must certify that care is needed and sign a plan of care. Families can call the agency first, and the agency will usually contact the doctor to arrange the order.
