Parkview is full of life and inviting! It smells cleans, looks cleans and has a variety of activities daily to keep your lives one entertained and active. I wish I would Have know about this place for my 96 y/o great grandmother who passed away from dementia last September. She would have thrived!

When I first toured Parkview, I was really impressed with the facility. My impression was influenced by the representative informing me that Parkview believes in care through the end of life and that there would never be a circumstance in which my mom would have to leave. For six months I observed my mom enjoying her new environment and settling in as well as could be expected. After she was hospitalized with pneumonia my experience of dealing with Parkview changed dramatically. For five days Parkview maintained zero contact with me or the hospital about my mom's condition. Poor communication led to at least one incident where hospital staff told me that nurses from Parkview were coming to do an assessment and they never showed up. Ultimately, Parkview deemed that my mom needed a level of care that they were not able to provide and refused to readmit her. Had I even suspected this was a possibility I would have begun making calls to other facilities, but due to Parkview's poor communication and disingenuous policies, my mom had to stay in a hospital bed for almost three weeks while we scrambled to find an alternative nursing home. Everyone I talked to, from hospice staff to hospital caseworkers, thought that Parkview refusing to readmit her was extremely weird and out of line with the level of service they used to provide. They are coasting on their reputation and the fact that they have a very attractive facility. Make no mistake, Parkview is a business and their primary objective is to lighten your bank account by $7,000 per month. They will fail you and your family at the time you need them the most. Rating = 4 stars for staff on the floor and -1 for administrators who are making the decisions.

I visited my mother here and the first thing I noticed when I walked in was the smiling and energetic employees. Let’s face it, they have a tough, emotionally draining job and yet they portrayed positivity. They have organized movies, meals, exercises, church service and many more activities. I left feeling happier knowing my mom is in good hands.
