Park Plaza Senior Living

Park Plaza Senior Living is an independent, Jewish senior living community in Chicago, Illinois. Residents live in their own apartments and set their own schedule, choosing how much they wish to take part in community activities, meals, and outings. Couples with differing physical abilities and activity levels are welcomed, as are snowbirds.

The community offers a full calendar of daily programming, including music classes, art appreciation classes, card games, and exercise sessions, all included in rental fees. Free, monthly extended-family events give relatives of all ages a place to gather. The building features a six-story atrium, a 60-foot aviary, a remodeled library with a 400-gallon aquarium, a modernized community room, a multi-media room for movie nights and sporting events, and an on-site salon for men and women.

Safety and support are built into daily life, with a security desk monitored 24/7/365 and on-site medical and therapeutic assistance available as needed. Park Plaza has partnered with FOX Rehabilitation to provide physical, occupational, and speech therapy services, including outpatient therapy. Through Right at Home, residents can add à la carte personal care in 15-minute increments or longer shifts tailored to individual needs, and through Entera Healthcare, a Wellness Center Liaison coordinates skilled nursing and therapy services delivered in residents' apartments.

Daily conveniences include complimentary chauffeured transportation for medical visits, shopping, and activities within a three-mile radius, five days a week, using the community's own staff drivers. Free weekly housekeeping and prompt unit maintenance are provided, along with modern, large-capacity laundry rooms near residents' apartments. Meals are freshly prepared, hotel-quality kosher dishes from a top Chicago kosher caterer, served daily with specialty menus for Jewish and U.S. holidays.
