I genuinely wanted this facility to work for my mom, but over time it became clear that there were ongoing and unacceptable gaps in basic care and communication - Unfortunately, we moved after three months. In our case, I repeatedly encountered issues with hygiene, feeding assistance, and medication administration. What was most frustrating was the lack of follow-through and accountability. Concerns were raised, assurances were made, and yet the same problems continued. Communication was poor, and some items sent for my mom were mishandled or overlooked. While some staff members were kind, the overall inconsistency and oversights made it impossible for us to stay. Families who move forward with loved ones who need hands-on, attentive care should monitor closely. For those who are relatively independent or with loved ones who can spend about 40 hours per week supporting the staff, this may be an acceptable option. I just wouldn't recommend it for moderate or max assist individuals who don't have lots of additional care from family or an outside care team. This review is my honest feeback and not intended to be hurtful. I just hope they fine-tune the care and communication going forward so that others don't have the same experience we did.

I cannot speak highly enough of Orchid Care Homes and its owner, Simon. It’s rare to find someone who combines professionalism with such sincere kindness. The staff reflect Simon’s values: they are attentive, respectful, and consistently go above and beyond. You can see that they genuinely enjoy their work, and that positivity makes a huge difference in daily life for the residents. Orchid Care Homes is more than just a care facility—it’s a place where people are treated like family. I am incredibly grateful for the outstanding level of care and compassion they provide. Highly recommended.

My Mother was living in an assisted care facility but she wasn’t happy there and needed a place where she got more specialized attention. After a lot of searching we came upon Orchid home in Carrollton. We were going to visit other places also but our first stop was Orchid and after seeing it and talking to Simon we knew we were at the right place. My mother was so much happier after moving there. She got a much better level of care, the food was all cooked right there, and there were lots of activities going on . In fact it seemed to me that all the residents were happy there. So if you’re looking for a smaller setting with more individualized attention, this is it. Also, everyone one of the staff there is very friendly and kind.

I placed my mother at Orchid Care Homes, and my family and I absolutely love it! The care, service, and attention she receives are truly exceptional. Simon and his team do a remarkable job, ensuring that residents feel comfortable and well cared for. Before Orchid, my mother was at Sonoma for two years and Avalon for one year, but the level of care she receives at Orchid is unmatched. The staff goes above and beyond, making sure she is happy and well looked after. I highly recommend Orchid Care Homes to anyone looking for a warm, compassionate, and top-quality place for their loved ones.

We have been very happy with Orchard Care Homes. The staff and owners are genuine, transparent and caring people who communicate regularly while creating a family environment for our mom. The caregiver to patient ratio is excellent. The variety of activities is perfect for a small group environment. Thank you to all of the staff who made us feel like family, they are very easy to communicate with on any and all subjects. We had a unique situation from several directions. Shifting assisted be equipment, gathering referrals to help mom. Even hair cuts right onsite! the team rallied to support to give us ai d, direction, shared resources and knowledge. They go “above and beyond” in assisting with your move in, they are helpful and kind! Highly recommend if you're looking for a place to call home for a senior parent it truly is a great place.
