We have been very very satisfied with our Optimized experience. After evaluating several other facilities, Optimized was our clear choice. It has an at home type feel to it, unlike the other facilities which felt institutionalized or hospital like. The staff is amazing. We couldn't be more pleased!!!

I placed my mom with OSL for a respite stay. In April it will be 5 years that I have been her fulltime caregiver. It's a very difficult decision to put her in another's care as she has late onset Alzheimer's and dementia so of course it's very confusing for her and upsetting for me. The fact is however that I was so comfortable with the staff and the philosophy of this facility that I was able to enjoy a much needed vacation. And as I sat there observing an aide stroking my mother's hair (while waiting to take her back home) my heart was so happy knowing that there is a place she could go where they would love on her like it should be......like any elderly person deserves.....if ever it could no longer be me.

Our story in finding the best care for my mother is a long one, but after 2 other Cincinnati care facilities, Optimized is, as my 93-year-old mother termed it, "a miracle." I've been appalled at the state of elder care in this country, and Optimized is the most unique and lovely facility I've visited. Fairfield is new and will have only 24 residents, but all of their facilities are comparably small; I visited the Lebanon residence initially. Personalized care is the emphasis. I can't say enough about how caring the staff is. The food is homecooked right in the large, open kitchen in the center of the residence. When my mother arrived there from her prior residence in early afternoon, Tammy, the nurse on duty, whipped her up a homemade hot sandwich and soup. Mom said it was the best meal she'd had in 3 years, which is sadly, true. She is socializing with other residents, which she has not done since entering care 5 years ago. She is always clean; her room is spotless, and she can have a beloved warm shower and shampoo whenever she wants -- not once a week as the prior residence determined (ugh). Since Mom is a fall risk due to Parkinsons, I was thrilled that she wears a call pendant. The staff is never more than a minute or two away, where previously she sometimes waited hours for assistance. The rooms are large, and some have wooded views. There are outdoor and indoor areas for socializing, with a large great room and comfortable recliners for residents to enjoy TV or a puzzle while meals are being prepared nearby. Optimized Senior Living follows a model I saw with family members who live outside of the U.S. -- personalized care in a home-like setting with far fewer residents than most facilities. This model is beginning to catch on in the U.S., but too slowly. While it is non-denominational, there are some lovely Christian messages of positivity and love posted throughout, and social workers will arrange for clergy or church member visits if desired. But is all this expensive, you are thinking. NO. I still cannot believe it, but the monthly fees are far less than our family was paying at a larger, well-known Cincinnati residence. If you are not sure whether or not your family member is a fit for assisted living -- maybe you are thinking more care is needed -- reach out and have Optimized assess your loved one. You may be surprised and gratified at what they can offer. It might be the "miracle" you are looking for.

My father has been a part of the Optimized family for almost two years and yes it is truly a family. I was in a tough spot trying to find a good facility and after touring multiple places I was informed of Optimized Senior Living and I feel the man above was looking out for all of us. The entire experience, from the first walk through to this very day that I’m writing this review, has been eye opening to how a care facility should operate from the management and the staff all the way down to the residents and their families, you don’t just see it with your own eyes but you see it in the other residents and families. The care is unmatched and the ability of the staff to connect with the residents and keep them engaged, from daily interactions to well thought out activities and group meals, can’t be stressed enough when you are looking for the best physical and mental care for your loved ones. My father was recently transferred to the new Fairfield location from the Kettering facility to bring him a little closer to home. The nice part about Optimized is the care and family first priority is exactly the same no matter which facility you are at which made the move seamless and didn’t affect him physical or mentally. I could go on and on about all the great things that Optimized has done for my dad and myself and my family but I don’t think there is enough room to type lol. What I will say in closing is thank you to the management and staff of Optimized for making this tough decision and tough time in all of our lives, one best experiences we could have asked for. And to Jessica, the director of nursing at Fairfield, you are our angel.
