The real strength of this community are the people that work the front desk. Although they have a variety of responsibilities, they truly care about the residents more than anything else. More than once I had called the facility because I couldn't get an answer from my mom in her room, and hung up without leaving a message. Minutes later my phone would ring, and either Jacob (great guy!) or Terry (extraordinary!) would be calling to say that they have a missed call from my number. I had even called to ask Terry if she could locate my mom for me, and she would physically get up and go find her in the great room or dining room. Ada that works the desk on the weekend always greets you with a pleasant smile. I cannot say enough good things about this staff. They really are the face of the place!
I recently moved my mom out and to a complex 6 minutes from my home. Overall her experience was better than most, as she was elected to represent the current and prospective residents as the Resident Ambassador for the facility. She will be missed there, but I know she will miss Terry the most.
Thanks to everyone at The Waterford at Fairfield for making my mom feel at home.
