Cape May in Wilmington is the best rehab facility around! My dad had been in and out of the hospital for over 2 1/2 months with issues from congestive heart failure. He was actually sent to one rehab facility three times during that time frame, did a little bit better, but nowhere near where he should’ve been. After the third hospital stay, we decided to try a new rehab facility, Cape May in Wilmington. The care he received there was exceptional! They have the best nursing staff, physical therapy, and occupational therapy programs around! The Director of nursing, Jacki as well as Margie, who coordinated his stay did a phenomenal job! We were always kept up-to-date on his care and knew what next steps were going to be. The day my dad left to go home he said he will miss everyone because it felt like family there. If we ever have the need for a rehabilitation facility again we will be reaching out to Cape May in Wilmington!

I’d leave 0 stars if I could. Whatever you do don’t rent the place out for any event of any kind. The fridge in the kitchen was absolutely disgusting and filled with other peoples stuff leaving us limited room, also had alcohol left in the fridge which was incredibly frustrating as there was kids who could have mistaken for pop or juice and just all around disrespectful to leave alcohol not knowing who could be using the event room next. The staff did not communicate and was incredibly disrespectful and made us feel like we had to hurry up and go when we had paid to rent their space. Parking is a mess, handicap parking was not available when needed for our guest. Staff actually was trying to tell an elderly guest with a handicap sticker to move their car from the handicap space for a tenant when it was not tenant parking. Terrible venue truly, so many unhappy guest and unnecessary issues. I hope no one who ever tries to plan a special event here is made to feel the way we did please never rent from here.

Rude residents and staff. Cape May allowed a family to celebrate a baby shower in the venue next to the gazebo and then proceeded to make the guests move their cars because of inadequate parking. If a facility is going to allow a party then parking should be accommodated for all guest. And if said parking isnt available for the guests then make that known to the family hosting the party. Guests were subjected to park in the grass. Then later by security officers made to move all the way to the back where employees park. For a baby shower that was ONLY 3 HOURS. Unacceptable.

My husband and I moved to Cape May two years ago. At the time we were 60 and 70 years old. Most of our family and friends thought we were making the move too soon. I can honestly say the move was made at just the right time. The first year we met several neighbors who became great friends. We got involved in activites as soon as they started back up after COVID. We were happy with our decision to move but hadn't experienced the full benefits of living at Cape May until the following year. My husband had total knee replacement surgery followed by complications and a second surgery a few weeks later. Living in a one floor villa with everything handicap accessable was a huge blessing. My husband received physical therapy right here on campus, another blessing. The physical therapists were fantastic and my husband reached all the goals his surgeon had for him. Cape May is not just a place to live, it's a community of caring people and we are so thankful to call it home.
