Oasis Dementia Care provides all the comforts of home in a safe secure setting. Allowing residents to be engaged in the activities that they enjoy is key to our social resident-centered care model. What sets us apart is that we’re focused on more than just safety and security. We engage our residents physically, mentally, and socially in the activities that make them who they are.

Having more space and more common areas allows our residents to have choices on how they spend their time. If your mother enjoys baking, she’ll be able to make cookies here in Gigi’s kitchen not just as planned, large group activity as you’ll find in most nursing facilities.  

This is why our low 6:1 resident-to-caregiver ratio allows us to provide appropriate supervision over residents, in multiple areas of the facility. enovated by Bashar Hamami in 2013, Oasis' building and grounds are custom designed to minimize the environmental impact on individuals affected by memory loss conditions. Outside, our secure grounds, courtyards, gardens, and raised flower beds provide a peaceful, yet secure connection to the external environment.

The Oasis Care and Engagement tablets are a comprehensive system designed and built for Oasis Dementia Care. It helps caregivers deliver on the promise of an unmatched program of engagement with our neighbors.

Every staff member has a tablet that gives access to our neighbor’s life story complete with family pictures, personally significant images, videos and favorite music.

It also integrated the nurse call, wonder guard and closed-circuit camera system so if a door is opened or a neighbor needs help the caregiver is notified on their tablet and has the ability to immediately pull up a live video feed from any area in the community. Call pendants are also linked to the tablet and track how long it takes staff to respond. The tablets are how staff chart, and charting can be done with a click of the button and then there is an ability to add comments. The ADL's of each neighbor is in the tables as well.

This area lists the type of help and how much help is needed. Upon completing the tasks, the staff document how much or little assistance was needed.  

A unique attribute to the meal section: the staff type in what was served i.e. ham mashed potatoes and salad. After the neighbor is finished, they type in the % of each item eaten. This allows our dietary manager to review the amount consumed as well as determine if perhaps something was not liked, therefore they will remove it from the later menus.
