This place has many state violations. It has a D rating. My Aunt went there for skilled care. Howvever this place was so bad that we ended up getting her out of there in the middle of the night. They would not give her, her medications properly. She was supposed to have certain ones every 4 hours it was almost 9 hours before she got them. They did not give her the perscribed medication she normally took at night. I cluding her inhaler. I ened up having the DON Denise call me. She screamed at me and talked over me. I finally had to get rude to get her to stop and listen to me. She told me she chose when my Aunt got the meds. When we talked on the phone before she was admitted she asked if i could stay a bit to go over things including meds. I waited over 2 hours she never came back. Evwn though my Aunt and i both aaked for her. This place has no business taking care of people. Especially the DON. I was surpised at her lack of knowledge.

This place does not take care of their patients at all. The staff is careless and without bedside manner. The food they provide to their residents is worse than prison food, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Bring your loved ones ANYWHERE else people. They're gonna thank you for it immensely later.

I would not send my worst enemy to this place. This place is where you send someone to die of pure and vial neglect. I could name a unlimited list of instances that are unbelievable and against multiple guidelines (medical & hippa) But i will hope that this warning is enough to ward anyone looking to send their family member or friend to this alternative hell.

This place does not care about the residents. I wouldn’t send my worst enemies there. They are terrible towards the residents, they have bedbugs, they leave residents without help and cover up falls, they put residents to bed at 2 pm and won’t wake them up for dinner, leaving them in bed until 6am the next day. It’s disgusting and disgraceful the way they treat these people who are already dying and paying their life savings to stay here with no where else to go.

Oakwood is NOT a family-friendly or patient-oriented environment, although they do a tremendous job of convincing you that they are. Their staff is superfluous and uneducated, and the lack of compassion and attention is very heart-breaking. Take your loved ones elsewhere, if you value quality and professional care.
