This place is SO fun!!! The social media I look forward to seeing often includes an upbeat atmosphere, fun games, staff and resident involvement/participation….. the artwork on the display board is phenomenal - definitely looks like the place to be!!! Applause to the guys and gals working hard every day to create an environment filled with joy, care, laughter and comfort!!! 💕

This is a place I would recommend to anyone. Sam is a great administrator and communicates very well. She also has a huge place in her heart for older adults and you can tell! I had discussions with her about my mother-in-law possibly moving in and she was great at answering my questions. They have great activities to keep the tenants active and engaged and just an overall positive environment for tenants to thrive in.

I cannot say enough good things about Homestead of Albia Assisted Living. From the moment you walk through the doors, you can tell this facility truly cares about its residents. The entire building is always incredibly clean, fresh, and well-maintained. The rooms, common areas, dining spaces, and hallways are spotless, and there’s always such a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout the facility. It gives families real peace of mind knowing their loved ones are living in a place that takes such pride in cleanliness, comfort, and care. What really makes Homestead special, though, is the staff. Everyone is friendly, compassionate, and genuinely invested in the residents’ happiness and well-being. A huge standout is Activities Director Hannah. She is absolutely fantastic at what she does. Hannah goes above and beyond to make sure residents stay active, engaged, and included every single day. You can tell she truly loves her job and cares deeply about the people there. She brings so much energy, kindness, and creativity to the activities and events, and it’s obvious the residents adore her. Whether it’s games, crafts, outings, themed events, or simply spending quality time with residents, Hannah makes the environment feel lively and joyful. The staff overall do an amazing job creating a family-like atmosphere where residents feel respected, cared for, and valued. Communication with families is excellent, and you can tell there is a strong sense of teamwork throughout the facility. It’s not easy finding a place you fully trust with the care of a loved one, but Homestead of Albia truly stands out in every way. If you are looking for an assisted living facility that is clean, compassionate, welcoming, and full of caring people, I highly recommend Homestead of Albia. They do an outstanding job, and it shows in everything they do.

I will say it is amazing seeing homestead of Albia change for the better. The new directors and team go above and beyond! This place is definitely running smoothly and not in shambles anymore. Pat on the back to all the hard working staff.

Homestead of Albia has made very positive strides thus far in 2026. Administrator Sam is working very hard to make the necessary improvements in the facility and with the staff. It is obvious she cares very much for the residents and their families. We appreciate her very much. We also appreciate our new nurse, Sonya. She is doing an excellent job getting to know the residents and their medical needs. She is putting in a lot of hard work to bring trust back to the residents and their families. Overall the staff is friendly and working hard. They are kind to our mother.
