Although I seldom review anything, I feel compelled to offer my sincere endorsement for Oakwood Residence especially their Dir of Admissions, Heather Ford. Through a very stressful time for my father while in WG Rehab for twelve weeks, Heather and staff were very attentive and sensitive to our needs. While I deeply appreciate Heathers assistance in securing a place for pop, her communication and compassion through this process continue to be exemplary. The quality of care he has and is receiving from the caring staff brings comfort to both me and my father. Congratulations and thanks also to the administrator, Mr. Nachum Feder for obviously setting an example leading a team of healthcare professionals.

Me and my siblings have been touring personal care homes for our mom. Of all the places Oakwood had the best prices . They aren't the fanciest but the woman Heather that we met with is the most caring and helpful person we have spoken to. We still have a few months before mom will move but wanted to say where ever we visit or speak with my family always is drawn back to Heather. So anyone looking I suggest you go see her

My grandmother is at a skilled nursing facility in Norristown near our home. She had a stroke & unable to care for self safely so we chose a place for rehab where she could stay long term when her rehab was done if she didn't improve enough to come home. Once her 100 days were almost up they told us she couldn't stay there so we had to find somewhere else. I called Oakwood Residence & had the pleasure to speak with Heather in their admissions . I explained my situation & grandmoms condition. Heather informed me she wasn't really a candidate for personal care but rather long term skilled care. She asked me why we didn't want to keep her where she is and I told her we want to but they said they don't have a bed. She explained that since their beds are medicare & Medicaid licensed they can't make us leave . The next day the place grandmom is at told me that she won't be eligible for Medicaid and they were refusing to help me apply because they insisted she wouldn't be approved. I called Heather back and she volunteered to help me when she was off the clock for her job. The next 2 weeks she educated me on what paperwork I needed and also how to write a letter of explanation about monies used to build an inlaw suite that my parents built right after COVID. She told me to keep a copy and where to drop all the paperwork off. We had an acceptance for her grant in 2 weeks so my grandmom is able to stay where she is and remain close to all of us.<br>Heathers emotional support , education and willingness to help us was above and beyond the best. If my grandmom didn't need to stay at a nursing home we would have taken her to Oakwood Residence in a heart beat knowing they have Heather there. Thank you so much!
