I recently had the privilege of working with Oakwood’s Admissions Coordinator, Casey, for a potential patient admission. Casey was knowledgeable, prompt, and incredibly helpful throughout the process. I truly appreciated the quick, detailed responses and the clear communication regarding what was needed from our team. Oakwood Healthcare is an option for both short-term and long-term skilled nursing placement. They offer private rooms, which can be hard to find, and are also one of the few local facilities that allow patients to smoke. While it may seem like a small detail, it can make a meaningful difference in helping some patients remain comfortable and complete the rehabilitation they need. I only wish I had known this when my grandfather needed rehab, it would have made such a difference for him in staying longer!

I have been to Oakwood to visit patients and every interaction that I have had has been nothing less of wonderful. They are friendly and compassionate! You can tell they take pride in the care they provide to the patients who are there for a rehab stay. Casey is so helpful and everyone has great communication from the nursing team to the therapist's. They have a great dietary team and lots of activities to keep the patients engaged and feeling included. The location is very conveniently located. I highly recommend for a short term rehab stay.

Oakwood Healthcare Center is a wonderful facility that truly stands out for the quality of care they provide. The building is clean, modern, and very well maintained, creating a comfortable environment for both patients and their families. From the moment you walk in, the staff are warm, welcoming, and genuinely committed to making everyone feel supported. This facility specializes in short-term rehabilitation and has strong outcomes when it comes to helping patients recover and regain their independence. It is also reassuring to know they offer 24-hour nursing staff, ensuring patients receive skilled and attentive care around the clock. A special thank you to Casey in Social Services, who is incredibly caring and always quick to respond. She goes above and beyond to help families navigate the process and makes sure everyone feels informed and supported every step of the way. Johnny also deserves recognition for the way he consistently goes above and beyond for both his staff and the patients in the building. His leadership helps create such a positive and compassionate environment. If you are looking for a short-term rehab center with strong outcomes, excellent communication, and a clean, welcoming environment, Oakwood Healthcare Center is a fantastic choice.

This is a Very clean facility, highly recommended! It feels like home when you walk in, I’m truly blessed to be apart of this community. The way this company is ran is so amazing and they are very understanding. If I was asked what facility to recommend in Chico this would be my first pick of choice!
