Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Residents seem happy. Only downside is that it smells of urine throughout the entire facility

Reviews of Oak Hill are sharply mixed: several families praise the kindness and skill of nursing staff, the DON/ADON, and therapy leadership, while others report serious lapses in communication and one report of a life-threatening oxygen failure. The facility's small size is noted as allowing more personalized attention, but this contrasts with complaints about administrative responsiveness and physical therapy intensity.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. My dad was at this facility for 5 days before he passed. He was only there for physical therapy and was scheduled for discharge, which ultimately never happened because of his passing. They failed to give him his oxygen, which he needed to have 24/7. Two days before he passed, he called my mom saying that his oxygen had been off for 8 whole hours. I hate this place for failing my dad. Please I beg you do not send your loved ones here

The care my mom received when she stayed there was above and beyond. Staff were kind and attentive. The DON and ADON are among the most caring I’ve witnessed in all my years of healthcare. The therapy director and team worked so hard to get my mom into a place where she could then go home. They are absolutely amazing!

The one star is for the nursing staff that handed out medication and the unit supervisor, I found them very caring and very helpful. If I could rate just them they would get 4 stars ( and the lack of the 5th star is most likely because they are over worked) The lack any more stars is for the case managers, social workers and administrators. I left over 5 messages for three days before I could get someone on the phone to tell me what the rehab plan was. All I needed was a return phone call to understand the discharge plan. As a physical therapist I was extremely disappointed with the PT experience as I was hoping for more intensive PT, not once a day into the exercise room with 8 other people where my mom just walked around the circle with someone at her side. No one on one focus on her balance or targeted exercise. I will not recommend this facility and will discourage people from going there.

I have been a medical consultant at Oak Hill for several years in addition to many surrounding facilities. Oak Hill is well managed and their staff is knowledgeable, kind, and respectful. The nurses and aides are always willing to step in and offer a helping hand when needed. The patients are well cared for at all levels of medical need. The facility is smaller than others offering a more intimate setting and higher level of personal care.
