My father has been here for 2 years, care is mediocre as they are understaffed. Many of the staff do try to provide good care, but as with any facility there is quality staff and people who shouldn’t work in this field. Just a few recommendations to those who have family in a Nursing home…..including this one. * You are their advocate! Do not let them talk you into making your family member a DNR regardless of what they tell you or promise you that their care will not change…. It’s a lie. This takes the burden off the facility if something should happen to your loved one. * Care conferences - take your own notes (as they do not), no one will get back to you on questions or concerns (as they assure you they will). Blame is always placed on someone that is not in the room. Again…. You are their advocate…..be persistent with their care. * Recently they have had their phone service cancelled, you cannot reach your loved one without having staff go get them or letting them use staff’s personal cell phones and your loved ones cannot reach you without going through the front desk phone or utilizing staffs cell phones which takes the staff away from their other duties in a facility that is already under staffed.
