My stepfather used to be here until I took him out because of the poor staffing and conditions as well.Bugs was on his food and everywhere in that place do not send your loved ones here

I know options for good long-term nursing care are limited for people on Medicaid/Medicare, but please consider placing your loved one anywhere but this facility. The staff are overworked and really don't care about the residents. I had been unable to reach my mom on her cell phone for two days, and when I went to the facility to see if there was an issue with her phone, I found her lying in her own dried up vomit. I had to find a CNA to come clean her up and practically beg the RN on the floor to go check on her. The CNA could not find any wash clothes in the entire facility, so I had to borrow one from one of the other patients in order for my mom to be washed. When I expressed my concerns to the Administrator on Duty, she had no concern for the condition I found my mother in and did not return my call after her "investigation" as she promised. After I went home for the night, I called the nurses station several times and after FINALLY reaching a nurse, even she never called me back as promised. I've been trying to reach a social worker to have my mom transferred out and the social worker is impossible to reach and does not return calls. The facility's elevators rarely work and the one on the north end that does work is so crowded with people waiting that it takes forever to get up to the floor. There have been several instances where the facility did not have hot water, and they rarely have clean sheets. When I went back to the facility yesterday evening, I had to request that a CNA come to my mom's room to change her soiled diaper and sheets and you would have thought I was asking them to build me a house from sticks with the way they responded to my request. THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE and any reviews stating otherwise are more than likely placed by staff or friends of staff at the facility.
