Mesa Springs Retirement Village is a beautiful community with a warm, welcoming atmosphere and caring staff who truly make residents feel at home. The campus is well-maintained, offers a variety of engaging activities, and provides residents with opportunities to stay active, social, and independent. You can tell the team genuinely cares about each person and goes above and beyond to create a comfortable, family-like environment. If you’re looking for a retirement community in the Abilene area that values compassion, quality, and community, Mesa Springs Retirement Village is definitely worth visiting.

Food is terrible for the one provided meal, grass and landscape is mostly dead around the house. Had to have lots of repairs right after my family members moved in. They do enjoy the bingo and socializing with other residents.<br><br>Update: 2026<br>Same issues still continue. “Chef prepared meals” are purchased foods frozen and reheated in food truck. Website says special dietary needs and healthy meals. They are not and there is only one option provided. Landscaped property means mowing when available. Some areas that actually get watered could be considered landscaped. My parents had a pipe burst in their ceiling 1-2 years ago. Once it was finally repaired, they temporarily fixed the ceiling. That is how the ceiling has stayed. Still cracked all the way across in multiple directions, mismatched repair spots and now due to the storm last night, the ceiling leaked water everywhere. House is settling badly all over. Front glass beside door is shattered, but I think it is double pained, so not considered a problem. It is far from peaceful, carefree living. They have had two substantial rent increases. Unfortunately, due to the large influx of people for data centers, you can’t find anything else. So, just go in with your eyes wide open if you choose to live here. They have some wonderful staff that cleans, someone that takes them to stores, occasional events, but bus isn’t really handicapped accessible. Those people are so helpful. They have also made some wonderful friends with other residents and I am so thankful for them.
