This is from a first impression, I also want to note that I visit several Assisted Living Facilities in the greater SF to Belmont areas. The Meadowood facilities seem to stand out above the rest in all aspects.

If you care about your loved one, run in the opposite direction, my grandfather was treated so poorly here. I understand being short handed but to deal with a patient with such little care is unacceptable. I witnessed a nurse walk in and not say one word to my grandfather she didn’t know that I stayed in the room behind the curtain. Super disappointing, he would make simple requests and be ignored (asked for a blanket, also needed assistance with the restroom and nothing) Unfortunately his insurance only covered this place and another but there was no open bed at the other facility. So glad he’s home now. Also the nurses and staff all seemed to be on different pages regarding his needs and reason he was there. Like how!?!

It looks great on the outside but inside of Meadowoods is extremely depressing. I don’t fault the staff. There is simply not enough of them working. There’s like 15 residents to one nurse. So it’s really not their fault they can’t help everyone but someone needs to fix the shortness of staff. My grandmother hates it here.

The people who work there are very helpful and caring, and the people who live their are friendly and thankful for the people who are helping them with their health care needs.

Nice place and nice environment but terrible, extremely terrible service experiance. There was not much people or Nurses around to help even when you press the red emergancy button in the room and the nurses or somebody may come like an hour and half later if your lucky. It seems this facility is a joke and most nurses seems unprofessional and only care about the money they make here. As I did some observation and walked out of the room and look around, the Registerd Nurses RN or LVN or CNA like to sit around with their cell phones talk and laugh!! Wow, so they are getting paid just to sit around being lazy and care less about the patients. There was nobody that are helpful cause My Dad had an emergancy where he needs assistance to change his bottom because his stool while he was in bed and it needs to be clean and change for him. He was crying and needed help but man my mom had to come out and ask for help yelling even when she already press the red emergancy button in the room and still nobody showed up to the room and help. The place looks nice but the service for help is extremely horrible!! You have to wait really long for help or sometimes they don't come at all. Very disapointing and very angry. I don't know how these nurses "here" eitheir Registered Nurses RN, CNA, or LVN, earn their license to practice on these patients here. So sad!!!! I wanted to leave and hope that my dad is discharged soon because this faciltiy is a nightmare from the Careless Nurses here......
