Bethel retirement community is a great facility. The staff is very friendly and caring they interact with the residents above what is required. My husband has been in assisted living for a little over 2 years and has improved tremendously with the care he has received. He is happy and content. I highly recommend this facility

Hello, I would like to extend my gratitude to the Bethel Retirement Community (BRC) facility and the staff that work there. My mother and her husband moved in to the BRC February of 2023. They decided on there that living on there own in a large home was to difficult for them both. My mother had a few friends that were stay at BRC and she visited them quite frequently. She and her husband decided to move in and join the BRC. They both stated “it was the best thing they could have done.” They enjoyed the accommodations on the 3rd floor which is independent living. They also liked the, activities, the hair salon, the bus/shuttle, the other residents and they enjoyed the care and the caring staff. After a year my mother’s husband passed away. The staff and residence were so loving and caring to my mother. My mother continued to live at BRC for another year and a half. Towards the end of her life my mother started falling and having health issues. I, my mothers son took 3 months off of work and BRC allows me to stay with my mothers husband and help her recover and assist her with life. Then I decided to move my mother to Eureka, Ca to live with me as I too care of her. In November of 2025 my mother’s husband passed passed away. A very sad day. I called BRC to see if I could have a memorial service for her there where her friends were and caring staff worked. They said yes, of course. The memorial service was beautiful, meaningful, pleasant and a perfect place for the memorial. Bethel Retirement Community Center is a great place for the elderly to stay. The facilities are clean and well maintained, they plenty of activities, and the staff are wonderfully kind and caring. My heart and memories are with always. Thank you to all the staff at BRC.

My mother Barbara moved into Bethel at the age of 89. She was not thrilled with having to leave her home , but after two long years of being virtually alone during COVID and a bad fall, she knew it was best for her well being and the peace of mind of her family. She went into her new living situation slightly skeptical. She has always been a very social person, but she kept to herself initially. But with the encouragement of the staff she started to participate in the games and joined a bridge group. My mother has been an actress, director and a producer of shows in the Bay Area and Modesto her whole life. After about 6 months of being at Bethel and making some friendships she got an idea to put a variety show together. She casted people who had never even been on stage before in songs and skits. The staff supported and encouraged her show and it was a big hit. My mom reinvented herself at Bethel. Where some people might look at a move into a retirement place as the beginning of the end, she saw opportunity and happiness. She made some wonderful friends and over and over told us how grateful she was to have stepped out of her comfort zone and join the community at Bethel. In the last days of her life many of her friends and Bethel staff members sat by her bedside. They prayed, sang, cried and told me and my brother how profoundly she had impacted their community. Mom was loved and well taken care of. She passed in November at the age of 93, a very happy woman. Thank you Bethel!

Bethel Retirement is absolutely the best facility. I have had so many friends over the years that had lived there and they have really enjoyed the experience . I have visited many people throughout the years in facilities all over Modesto, and I must say, Bethel retirement is the gold standard I can highly recommend. It

When I first came to Bethel and talked with Elizabeth, she was so caring and made me feel like my dad was gonna be part of a community. He got to spend two weeks there until ultimately he ended up in the hospital to pass Elizabeth and the team did such a great job for my dad in those two weeks. Amber also went above and beyond for my dad. I have nothing but amazing things to say about them and can only hope that if someday I should need a place to go that’s my first choice.
