Let's start with entering the facility. If you like the smell of poop you will be in poop heaven. The smell is enough to gag you. In the last 6 months I have had two of my long time classmates there. Mary Ruth was the first. She had to go to dialysis several times a week. I came to see her after a 4 hour dialysis visit. She pooped in the potty chair before she went and when I got there I ask a tech to please flush it down. She did and cleaned at cleaning the pot barely. I went back to see her a few days later and again drying out poop. A nurse came in and I ask her to please empty the nasty thing. She started out the door and I ask if she would clean it out again. She grabbed the pot and flush and put the nasty remains back in the potty chair. The room was smelling and the floor needed mopping. Bless her heart Gid got her out of that place.if there had been a fire drill a person couldn't have gotten through all the patient clustered at the nurses station. There have been numerous times I had to scoot through sideways in the maze. I have been in the dining rooms feeding time. The techs or nurses or whom ever would literally shovel food in so fast the would almost choke. Recently my other high school friend was in Meadowbrook. I sat in a using my shoe to dust the floor and pick up dirt with a wet paper towel. Beverly had some red placed on her. She said they itched and didn't have the places until she got there I immediately checked for bedbugs but just saw tried flaky skin instead, I looked on Beverly's table and there was a med cup with a pill in it.i carried it to the med nurse and ask what it was for. It was for her stomach pain. She ask me to give it to her. And another time the nurse came in to give a breathing treatment. Beverly was eating a cooks so the nurse ask me to turn it on. This morning Beverly was moved to NHC. Daughter picked her up at 20. She had been taken off her O 2 and was having difficulty breathing and knowing where she was. She had a panic attack a few days before because of difficulty breathing. A tech brought in her meal about that time and she was going to get a nurse.. never showed up.. At the nurses station there may be four or so sitting and laughing with or without patient cluttered around or no nurses at all. The curtains were dry rotted so I tore off what was dangling down. The light fixture over her head didn't have a cover over the bulbs. The floors look nice but still the stink and filth. Poor management starting with CEO down to Administratve staff on sight. Meadow Brook facility and staff get a big F- from me. Highly recommend if your 5 scences don't work Beverly Murrey
