Avoid this place. My husband was sent here for rehabilitation after a stroke. Physical therapy, the thing he was sent there for, was withheld for week without notice or explanation. During that time he was left in bed for three days straight. He regressed severely during this time, leaving him as bad off as he was when he was admitted. He also had several falls, he has a fungal infection under his arm. They messed up the insurance paperwork which resulted in insurance not paying for half of his stay. They botched the appeal, missing the deadline to have a peer-to-peer review done despite several emails from me urging them to have their doctor call the peer-to-peer review number. They botched the paperwork for a disabled parking permit. It will be at least a month before I can get a placard because of the incompetent social services director. The social workers are apathetic, incompetent, and all around useless. The nursing staff rarely checks in on the people in their care, but seem nice. My husband liked the physical therapists, but got maybe 20-40 minutes of therapy on the days when they didn't withhold his therapy. Avoid this place. Edit: they lied to me when they told me that their doctor would be conducting a peer-to-peer review with our insurance. The review never happened. They never bothered to try to correct their mistakes that caused our coverage to be denied.

When I first looked at the reviews, I was worried, but then I spoke to Alison and Sophie and they reassured me that they would take care of my dad. If there were any problems, I was to contact them right away and they would handle it. My dad loved being there. He developed great relationships with the nursing staff and felt like he got his independence back. The nurses took the time to listen to him and get to know him. They kept us informed along the way. Jennifer, the Director of Nursing, was phenomenal. When my dad's cancer spread, they were there to help uplift his spirits, give him his dignity, and take care of his needs. When my dad passed, they opened the window to let his spirit be free. I cannot thank them enough for all their support, hugs, laughter, smiles, and dedication. Thank you to everyone at Meadowbrook for making my dad's last months on Earth special.

I was not a resident but a friend of a resident & this is what I observed. Amber, who in charge lacks social & caring skills. She makes up rules as she goes. Amber generally sides with her staff when things disappear. Very few of the CNA's knew how to treat the residents with common courtesy. Make sure you bring something to lock up your things! They took someone's hair clipper & many other things. Physical therapy crew were awesome! I wouldn't send any of my family members there. They call themselves a Christian organization!

My grandmother was recently at Meadowbrook Appleton, and I could not be more pleased of the care that she received while she was there. The staff were always so kind and helpful whenever we had questions. My grandmother loved the activities and special events that occurred around the holidays as well. If she ever needs rehab again in the future, she will definitely be back!
