My dad was just taken from here to a hospital. The doctors said he was soiled so bad that it was wildly unacceptable..I'll be requesting a meeting with the director asap. Be prepared.

I spent 9 days in Meadowview due to a broken femur. The staff were kind and attentive. I feel I have friends there, including some of the residents. PT got me started on my path to walk again

The staff at meadowview of harrisonville are very attentive to both the residents and visitors always. While not the state of the art facility, they make up for it with kindness towards their patients and their patients friends and family. Thank you for all you do, Charlene, Rhonda, Shelly and all the ladies in the memory ward!

Me and my family are very frustrated about a situation that has happened to my Uncle Cliften Cruise. He needed a new reclining chair so the social svs person or who ever purchases things for patients purchased him a new chair. Everything was fine he was able to get out of bed and sit in the chair. Not to long after he purchased the chair they moved in a guy that was bigger than the average patient and his bed took up more of the room than other patients. This is when the problem started, they took my uncle chair out of his room to accommodate the other guys bed. We asked all the time about when they would put his chair back in his room but we got no answer. I would walk by this storage room on the same hallway as my uncle and see the chair in the storage room. Remember this was a new chair, then a few months went by and they never put the chair back in his room and the bigger guy and bed moved out of his room so we asked about putting the chair back in his room we were informed that his chair was no longer there. The social worker informed my mother that they called her to tell her that we needed to get the chair but my mother did not receive a call about his chair. My mother has an answering machine in her phone so there is no excuse that we were not informed. The problem is that when they moved the guy out they should have put his chair back. We were informed that they put the chair in the dumpster, this was a new chair and it was not a cheap chair. In our opinion they would not throw a brand new chair away. We talked to the administrator Amy and she told us that she would look into the situation because the story about the call changed. First , the social service director Crystal called and talked to my mother then they said she left a message. But my mother was not informed either way. The Administrator Amy said she would get back with my mother but to this day we haven't heard from her its been over a month. Now we visit him like once a week. Its getting very frustrating because now the Administrator Amy is telling us that we need to talk to the social service administrator Crystal. And she is never available. My uncle is bed ridden but when he had his chair in his room they could get him up and he would sit in his chair. We tried to be nice when they brought the bigger bed in to accommodate this guy but we had no idea that his chair, a brand new chair would just vanish in thin air. They say that nursing holmes abuse their patient in our opinion this is a form of abuse. We would just like this matter taken care of in a timely manner. It would be okay if they had provided the chair but this is not the case, my Uncle Clifton Cruise pay for his on chair and he payed a huge amount and a situation not caused by him has caused this nursing home to be irresponsible. Thank you for taking my complaint.

If you are taking care of a loved one who's on hospice, don't EVER let them go to this facility!!! My father went there for 5 days for a respite stay that hospice calls a "caretaker break". I trusted this place with my father's life while I took what I thought was a much needed break. He went in there able to talk and drink out of a straw on Sunday, he came home Friday with a look of terror on his face, he couldn't talk or drink out of a straw. He was so thirsty and would open his eyes real big when I first asked if he wanted a drink but couldn't wrap his mouth around the straw. He passed away the night he came home!! If you love someone, don't ever send them to this hell hole!!!!
